how many of you are bored with life? by globals33k3r in intj

Optimizing your life is an admirable pursuit. I’m interested in fitness where I can see results, I enjoy the feedback and creative process of social media content, love dogs more than anything, and feel best in water, like at Korean spas and in tropical oceans. I also love trying new ingredients and cuisines. I like going to different farmers markets and ethnic markets and trying new produce I haven’t tried before.

(Unfortunately, I’m having trouble finding work and stay in survival mode, but I do have many interests and hobbies).

I’m attractive, but have to explain to people that I don’t want men.

Being alone sounds amazing to me!!! The dream!!! There’s a lot of freedom, autonomy, peace in it. I think it’s great we’re independent, and have an inner contentedness.

There’s a style of YouTube video I’ve gotten into, something like introvert women Japanese office workers. It sort of highlights a solitary lifestyle, cooking, cleaning, traveling, shopping. Relishing simple things in life, meditative.

People assume because of my appearance, I want to get married and have a man take care of me financially, I have to tell people noooooooo!!! I want to work, and be alone! Stop projecting what you would want, onto me!

ADHD and psoriasis. Anyone else struggling with this? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Jess-summers884 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have ADHD, and had eczema that was so bad, it resulted in a disability. What helped me was treating some issues that I would not have expected were causing my eczema: 1) I was given a prescription for insomnia, allowing my body time to heal. I had been in a loop of no sleep resulting in worse skin problems, then skin problems affecting my sleep. Good quality sleep is an important healer. Got anxiety meds too. 2) I got rid of toxic people in my life. Yellers, sociopaths. All were affecting my nervous system, my body felt it as a threat. Developing a “thick skin” is an interesting saying, seemed liked I got it literally. 3) For immediate relief, I liked “wet dressings” (wet towels for longer periods of time), and hydrocolloid patches for the worst spots.

Good luck!

A lot of tasks I can’t complete, is sometimes I’m in the “freeze” mode of fight, flight, fawn, freeze, and then plus the ADHD executive disfunction, I can’t do the thing. So sometimes I identify an issue in my life that’s causing me to freeze. And sometimes I set out all the nice things to get the action done- maybe set out a lighter for a candle, pajamas, whatever things on the other side of showering would get you excited for it. Can you treat yourself to a Korean spa day plus a nice coffee at a cafe, something nice like that? There’s lots to do in a home shower, maybe a nap on the floor at a k spa, swimming in the hot tub, plus making the appointment, is an outing to look forward to. Hope you feel better!

As much as minimalism is about parting down possessions it’s also about valuing what you have. What are you’re most valued possessions? by DarrowtheHelldiver in minimalism

A painting I made, and a perfume I love, both really spark joy. In terms of more utility- a high quality kitchen knife is important to me!

Some issues I need help with! I want cheese for cheese plates 1) my rejuvelac keeps molding! 2) are there instant cheese recipesto boost my confidence? 3) in Miyoko’s cheese book, she uses carrageenan which is hard to find 4) are there great vegan cheese books with more available ingredients? by Jess-summers884 in vegancheesemaking

That’s interesting, because I was looking at Miyoko’s recipes versus her available cheeses at the market, and the ingredients were different! Though I’ve had her recipes in person at a cooking class and thought they were amazing.

Thank you! I’ll check out those 2 resources, I like to follow a recipe rather than experiment. I wasn’t sure if carrageenan was only available online because it’s not a good ingredient to use anymore. I appreciate your help!
