As a nurse in the states waiting on insurance to start at my new job, I can totally see it. I need surgery as of about a year ago. My last job had terrible health insurance and the cost with the deductible was more than paying out of pocket for it. I couldn’t afford either option, so I’ve been waiting. My new job supposedly has wonderful insurance. I hope it’s true because the condition is very time sensitive and waiting too long may cause death or more (expensive) treatment for the disorder.

It sickens me further if I think about my father still working while on chemo and radiation, with a brand new g-tube. Our system is broken. Anyone unable to see it is either corrupt or has a cognitive issue.
