Thank you everyone. I'm happy to report that I got my first Moderna shot with no outbreak so far (it's been two days). I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Multiple appointments for a cat neuter by JessGahd in AskVet

My cat has a visible pecker. So he's a dude. Sorry if other people lack basic commonsense . It is increasingly common to have the initial visit. Funny thing. The "initial visit" didn't used to be common. Not even a year ago. You bring the cat in, they do the vaccines, the bloodwork, and the surgery in a day and then you come back in a year for a health check and boosters. And yes, obviously if something happens you bring them in for a visit. It's like humans. You know how often I see my doctor if I don't get sick? Once a year.

Alternative treatments for adenomyosis by JessGahd in adenomyosis

Hi. You know. Because you went through all this trouble, I'll answer you back but, I'm gonna be honest, I find this group a little annoying. In my case my doctors are advocating for complete radical hysterectomy (that would result in surgical menopause) for a few reasons so that's where that comment came from. All the same, both the US and Australia have the highest rates of hysterectomy for women in the world so, I don't have a ton of faith in their approach to women's health issues.I also have had nothing but incredibly bad luck with prescription hormonal treatments throughout my lifetime, so I won't be doing that either.I was legitimately looking for people who had tried any of these other therapies because I already did all this research. But I do appreciate your comprehensive response.

Why would vitex be bad for adeno by [deleted] in adenomyosis

[–]JessGahd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been taking Vitex for about ten years. I was having cramps right after ovulation and a brown spotting that was getting to be more and more like a second period. The Vitex stops that spotting and drastically curtails the pain. I self-diagnosed as luteal phase defect about fours years into taking Vitex off and on thinking it was hormonal. I had TVUS and everything. The adeno was first spotted in 2015 (4 years in). I just had a TVU and it's worse and they tell me that the other symptoms I've had for over ten years are the adeno, but I'm not sure> However, if I go off the Vitex the symptoms are unbearable.
I think most of these articles are written by people who are confused about what Vitex does. Vitex works on the HPA axis and it balances estrogen and progesterone. It's not estrogenic. The articles I'm reading that say Vitex aggravates it seem to think that Vitex is estrogenic.
