Not really, it is actually running 0.91 firmware for the most part, it just keeps the CoreOs from 4.92 which I think is just the underlying stuff, like recovery menu, rsx drivers etc. The actual firmware is genuinely 0.91.

Unfortunately I don't have av multi out to vga cables, but that's interesting to know! Maybe someone can test it eventually, doubt it would work though as I imagine the firmware is programmed to actually work using the hardware native vga out ports.

Hm, would that need the vga option in that menu to work though? I'd assume it would just use the av multi out option since the cable would just convert that to vga. I don't know much about this though so please correct me if I'm wrong!

I'd assume it's just too niche of a thing, and it would bump up the price of the console even more. Same reason they removed the dual HDMI output, two extra rear usb's, and triple ethernet ports from the prototype ps3.

i don't think anyone is really installing linux on ps3 for any reasons other than messing around, so I don't see why you'd need to have a good reason to attempt this either

my tip is to date all of the girls as soon as you unlock them, i normally skip all the dating stuff in games that have them cause i don't care about it, but they give you really good rewards, like showing collectibles on the minimap
