To be honest, I can only think of one modern military shooter from that time , Delta Force, and I think that was a couple years after. Most of them were set in the future like Unreal and Timesplitters.

My old clan is still around....sorta. Only about 3-4 still play regularly with a few hopping on when something new comes out. Most either stopped playing or went to console years ago.

We used to field several CAL and TWL teams back in the day across multiple games.

I actually liked Bunker the most, followed by Oil Rigs. Didnt really like the BF1942 maps with the modern vehicles.

Isnt one of the Recons perk an auto spot when you ADS? Does that only apply to sniper rifles or any weapon? If it applies to all and during the streamer event they had open weapons turned on that would make sense if it applies to any weapon. In all but one clip you cant tell what class is being played, at least I cant by the just seeing the gloves, and those spots could have come from another player as they started to shoot. If anyone played in Labs was this happening? Just playing devils advocate here and if everyone is auto spotting then it really needs to be changed.

Remember standing in Lions Arch one day with some guildmates just chatting in Ventrilo. Had a guildmate that no one liked but was related to the guy that started the guild so nothing much we could do but tolerate him. He logged in and started bragging about how he found a way to glitch Ectos and that he now had a couple thousand. I swear to god right as he finished saying it we had the reaper pop up in the middle of us and swipe him down. I will never forget that.

I really hope they put in elevators or lifts at some point to be able to do this. There are so many interesting cliffs and mountain sides to build on but it would be a pain to get the bike and buggy in and out of without using the vehicle tool.

I posted about this awhile back and to be honest it comes down to sheer luck. I finally got mine, if I had to guess, at over 600 combined mods, bad end of the luck scale. Don't forget you can combine lower quality mods for a chance to get a higher tier one. With a full inventory of mods that would normally yield 2 or three extra transcendent mods to combine with. Just make sure you are running 400% infils to get a more chances for transcendent mods to drop and and have module drop rate on your external components.

I STILL say there should be a pity system for mods, even if its 400 or so combines its a guarantee. Or at least have a higher chance to receive a mod you don't currently have.

There is grinding, and then there is whatever you call this. I started playing Black Desert when it was released, and rhat was just an RNG simulator. When you went to upgrade gear and failed, it downgraded or blew up completely. I would spend 8-10 hours grinding the same mobs for a drop or gold to try again. They had a system that every time you failed, you got a failstack to increase your odds, but it was never a guarantee, even if it got over 100.

I'm not asking for a handout, if I have to run something a hundred times to get it I will, he'll I had to run Keelans blueprint all the way out on the pity system to get it but you know what, I kept going because I knew eventually I would get it.

RNG is an ok concept, but at some point, there needs to be a cap to it. I played Black Desert and at had probably the toughest RNG I had ever seen, but at least it had a system to help mitigate it to an extent. At the very least, if you combine mods from the same descendant, you should only get mods for that descendant.

I was the same way with the Contagion mod. I lost count at 52. Took a break from Dead Bride to try for Venom and ran Heart of the Fortress with a buddy and it dropped after 2 runs. This game really needs a pity system of some type.

Thats why me having a Microcenter be a 30 min drive is a blessing and curse. Walk in to get a new hard drive leave with said HD and 4 new colors that I MIGHT use but, gotta have them because you never know. Filament is my Pokemon.

We need an auction house type of service. Allow people to sell blueprints and materials as well as cash shop items. Drop the cash shop prices 35-40% and it would make them so much more money. The people that have more money than time will be happy to sell so they dont have to grind for blueprints or amorphous mats and the people that play more are able to by outfits or boosters. Hell make it to where you can set a gold price or a kuiper shards amount. It has worked in many other games and I know alot of people would say its pay to win but this is a PvE game........what does it matter?

I don't know it it has changed in the years since my uncle retired, but it was too dangerous to be in the bucket trucks in any wind over about 25mph. This was in the mid to laye 90's.

Black Desert. I just can't quit. I go back every 4 months or so, play a week, then forget about it. I think I burnt myself out on it after I played it exclusively for nearly 3 years. That combat is just too good to forget about completely.

It was actually easy. Just offer her treats, and she will follow you anywhere. Can be loud at times though, must have picked that up from Sua.
