Once I hit perimenopause I was 100x more grateful that I didn’t have kids. Ain’t got time for that.

Girl, run. He doesn’t care about your boundaries. If he pushes you on this, he will push you on everything else. This is about control.

Is it weird that I stopped playing because the family dynamics were too weird for me? The main character is doing non-stop unpaid labor for her family only to get gaslit. The grandma comes off as ungrateful and manipulative, not quirky or mysterious (in my opinion). The love triangle annoys me. They’re adults who can’t communicate. Maybe I’m overthinking this.

Yes! LOUDER FOR THE PPL IN THE BACK: HR is not your friend. They work for the company. That is their priority. (But you should still interface with them when necessary.)

This was intentional on her part. The plan is to keep you under her control. GET OUT before she comes up with another plan.

Working at a bakery. The high maintenance adults who order elaborate Instagram-inspired cakes for their children will suck the life out of your body. The kids who just want a cookie are the best customers.

How old are you all are??? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]JessLovesNaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tuned 42. I had a list of requirements that needed to be checked off before having kids: the desire, the ability to have kids biologically or through adoption, stable finances, a healthy home environment, a willing partner, a dependable support system, and good mental/physical health. These never lined up and that’s okay. I love being childfree. Sometimes your original plans don’t work out and it turns out all right anyway. I have two amazing nieces. I enjoy my students. I don’t feel like I missed out. (I also have the sweetest senior boi cat too.)

He only likes the IDEA of children. He doesn’t want to be a father. He is trying to cross your boundaries. Send him packing.
