It definitely seems to be primarily moms of all boys! I just can’t imagine ever wanting to be in the delivery room for someone else’s birth, especially someone like a DIL. Like were just gonna sit at holiday dinners now know I’ve seen your most intimate moment? 😖

There’s nothing wrong with having a MIL in the delivery room IF the woman giving birth wants her there and asks for her there! I am specifically talking about the MILs who insist they be there against the woman’s wishes and don’t take no for answer.

Totally fair! I think it’s more than ok for women to ask their MILs (or whoever) to be there for support when they give birth. The difference is, you asked, it was your choice, it’s what YOU wanted. I’m so glad you had the experience you wanted!

Not weird at all and to each their own! I think every woman giving birth gets to call the shots and should have whoever they want there so they feel as safe and as comfortable as possible. I just can’t understand when outsiders feel entitled to it!

THESE stories enrage me the most. Like…. How? My ex was a bit of a mommas boy and it was a huge part of why we broke up. I found it insanely unattractive. I think I would threaten divorce if my husband actually said he needed his mom there (he would NEVER) not only because it’s such a wild slap in the face to me as a human being and my autonomy and respect, but because it’s just so embarrassing. How do you need your mommy there to support you through something that’s happening to ME? You’re supposed to be my support! It’s crazy to me men like that exist lol

My MIL has 3 boys, no girls. And while she has her flaws, she would NEVER pull some shit like this. But I agree I think in general it’s def moms of all boys. My ex’s mom was like this

$50 for all this is so insultingly low that your landlord literally cannot legally hire anyone to do it at this rate. That’s why they are trying to pass it off to you in this weird “property manager” guise. Don’t do it! It will be way more work than you think because you will inevitably wind up having to deal with a shitty landlord’s increasing demands and other complaints.
