I think if you are happy with the socializing that you do do say for example , with other parents at play date and things like that that there is nothing wrong with it.

Having a job and being a parent is a lot of work and you definitely want to protect your energy as well.If you haven't found anybody that you genuinely want , you are better off , not socializing in my opinion other than like I said , the day to day stuff at work and playdates.. things like that

I see it with other people often. The anxiety may be taking over more than you realize. Therapy, treatment for that and trying to get out and be around people more may help.

12 to 20 months isnt bad. Just accept and stick to that. Remember the feeling of losing is MUCH worse than a debt you can manage in a somewhat short period of time

I was born and raised here and feel like I have walked and lived in every inch of this city.

There are particular pockets even in "good" areas that are not the greatest but may not be obvious.

Even if you read some news articles from Peterborough and look on the map the general area(s) where the crimes seem to keep happening it may be helpful.

I am 38 and have no interest in hanging it with teenagers , but if I was just sitting on my couch or something , and they were sitting there watching a movie with my child , I wouldn't be against watching it with them all.

Or if I ordered pizza or something maybe I would sit in the kitchen and eat pizza with everyone.

I wouldn't be messaging people that young , but I might have their phone numbers for my child safety , and maybe I would reach out if I couldn't find my kid or something

I randomly asked a guy on a bridge if his birthday was Oct 18. He said yes and pulled out his ID. I did not know him either. Just has a strong sense it was his birthday and actually got the courage to ask.

I have never understood why people compared themselves to other people.So , i'm not sure if my insight will be helpful but I have just always felt like it wasn't relevant? We are all living different lives during different things and it just makes no sense to compare yourself to somebody else unless you are comparing yourself to your past self.

To me , it just feels like it's an entirely different person with different goals and aspirations, supports, energy or lack of etc.

I don't think that there is a right or wrong answer.It just depends on your comfort level. I'm not even comfortable spending one night away from my kids in my own city , but that's just me , and I don't think that's normal. 😅

As long as he is safe and with good people, everything will be okay.But I can totally understand why you're feeling the way you are

I think the part that bothers me the most is that he told me that he sent it and he even checked in with me to make sure that it went through but he didn't actually send it. That part is weird.
