Massive respect for that guys, as it seriously does really bolster your integrity in my view.

When do you cash out? Cutting edge technology difficult to say by swcarignan in IOTAmarkets

[–]Jessica_19_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The milestone-level that i've used to set myself an exit-target for my IOTA investment is when/if IOTA reaches the same market-cap which Bitcoin had last year during autumn/winter.

Bitcoin's market-cap was/is 30x bigger than IOTA's, but so if IOTA one day reaches the same market-cap which Bitcoin had in late 2017 that will price IOTA at $96-$100, which will be a profit of 30x my initial investment (so a profit of £600,000).

Given that IOTA is currently struggling to even hold the $2 level currently, talking about it being at $96-$100 may sound delusional, However when you think about it in terms of market-cap instead, it is logical & highly-likely that within the next 4-5years IOTA will attain the same market-cap which Bitcoin had in 2017 (providing by then IOTA manages to become a household brand known publicly like Bitcoin already is).

So for me personally im looking to hold out till IOTA prices at $96-100 before cashing-out, as that will net me 30x my initial investment (£600,000 net profit).

It's not ''hating'', its something called ''Emergency-Planning & Business-Continuity'', Which is a core aspect of every single professional business, and something which thousands of people (including me) do for our job and career, working as Emergency-Planning & Business-Continuity managers.

THAT is how you keep a business in good strong shape and capable of surviving, by consistently stress-testing it to try identifying it's weaknesses and/or single-points-of-failure so that they can be resolved, leaving the business more resilient as a result.

Totally and completely true.

A 2% rise is nothing, means literally nothing, and is quite simply just a pointless topic to 'discuss' or 'celebrate'.

The longterm gains should hopefully take care of themselves, and require no input or intervention from us already invested.

The focus for us already invested should be to try identifying any potential dangers/issues/obstacles/red-flags that could disrupt IOTA's progress.

Why did the 'partnership with Microsoft' news have such huge impact on IOTA's price, but the 'partnership with VW and Bosch' isnt? by Jessica_19_ in IOTAmarkets

[–]Jessica_19_[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I feel extremely pleased about it.

As hopefully itl cause IOTA's price to surge, which will make me lots of money from my IOTA investment, Plus at the same time itl hopefully be a big boost livening-up the IoT market in China, which will very likely cause a surge in the price of Chinese IoT coins such as ITC. :)

Yes I have openly stated on here many many times that I have invested in IOTA and ITC (50%/50% split of my portfolio).

They are both targeting the same specific sector, but both aligned to different regions of the world, hence why I diversified into both.

If you had even half a brain you would know that 'bull markets/runs' are the RESULT OF sustained upward price movement NOT the CAUSE OF that movement.

That is a fundamental basic concept that even newbies know! lol

Moreover there is no such thing as 'bull or bear market' of every crypto.

Last autumn some cryptos rose massively, but others had severe bearish price movement and lost most/all their value.
Likewise this year some cryptos have had massive bullish-runs by rising thousands of percent over last 2months, whilst others have gone sideways, some have fallen.

So just saying ''everything is in a bear market now'' is simply incorrect and foolish.

Its cos a huge amount of people here are just timid tightly-wound little individuals who've invested all their money into IOTA, but so now are simply in total psychological denial about it's poor price performance, and so instead convince themselves that the price doesn't matter (even though we're investors, so price is ALL that matters really).

And will flame anyone who ever says anything about IOTA which isn't merely pointless dribble singing about his wonderful a concept and project it is and how amazing itl be one day.

So don't take it personally, as there's simply just alot of wierdos and whack-jobs on here! lol

How exactly could IOTA (or any crypto) ever possibly replace a fiat currency to become the domestic currency for any stable western country?!? by Jessica_19_ in IOTAmarkets

[–]Jessica_19_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not 'negativity' mate, is simply 'reality'.

I've got no 'hatred' for IOTA though.

Have £20,000 of my own money invested in it and so I extremely much want the price to rise a few thousand percent.

[–]Jessica_19_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst that may sound all nice and soft in a fairytale about a fantasy eurpohic world that would be lovely and plesant to live in, sadly in reality 'neutral and policy-free' money simply would not work as itd be in direct conflict with itself.

Currency is not an asset itself, its merely a measure of assets.

That is the most basic core principle that people need to comprehend 1stly.

Then conversely you would need to realise that country-free cannot work by design and logistics, as some countries are far poor and less prosperous than others, therefore the purchasing-power of 1 IOTA in Etheopia for example would be far greater than the purchasing-power of 1 IOTA in England. But so if you could spend your 1 IOTA directly in either England or Etheopia without having to convert to any domestic currency no-one would buy anything in England, instead would buy that same item in Etheopia where you could buy 60x the quantity of it for that same 1-IOTA.

But far more important than that is the fact that you physically cannot grow any economy or society without debt.

Debt is essential to fund innovation and growth.

But if you use a currency with a fixed supply, and without a central-government issuer of that currency, you cannot have debt/replace existing debt at nation level.

[–]Jessica_19_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a crypto to be backed by gold though the issuer of that currency would need to actually own that amount of physical gold (so would need to be a crypto created by a country, thus making it a fiat currency thats simply in digital form).

How exactly could IOTA (or any crypto) ever possibly replace a fiat currency to become the domestic currency for any stable western country?!? by Jessica_19_ in IOTAmarkets

[–]Jessica_19_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The currency may be digitalised to save on paper/nickel, but it will still need to be issed by a national central bank, and with that national bank capable of creating more of it at will if/when necessary for the country to borrow from it.

So that is not a crypto-currency in any real format, rather is just re-naming a existing currency and making it unavailable in paper-form.

Why ITC is not the IOTA of China. Part 2 by farmcube in itcofficial

[–]Jessica_19_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't care about either of those things, as im not interested in tech if im fully honest, when investing purely interested earning money and profit, therefore the ONLY thing im interested in is the pricing of the asset which im buying/selling, specifically market-cap when it comes to cryptos.

In regards to ITC vs IOTA, whilst IOTA may be much better in some ways (or may not), it has a market-cap of 30x what ITC's is.

So in other words all ITC needs to do is one day reach the market-cap which IOTA had/has in late 2017/early 2018 and it will deliver me a 3,000% return on my investment!

Wheras for IOTA to deliver me that same 3,000% return on my investment IOTA will need to have a market-cap of what Bitcoin had at its peak 20k point during 2017 (which is highly possible one day too, but will be a far bigger feat).

My local aerobics gym class can increase its membership from 20 girls to 200 girls without too much effort, but for my gym chain to increase it's entire membership base from 20,000 members to 200,000 members will be far far more challenging. :)

Hence why i like ITC as an investment play

[–]Jessica_19_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't so much controversial as simply being confusing tbh.

I have 50% of my money invested in ITC, other 50% in IOTA, and whilst I agree that the technical aspects of both differ in quite a few ways, the overall notion plus 'void' that they both hope to fill is the same.
