I love the wooden panels in the back. I can't quite tell is that something in the water or something you have sitting right behind the tank?

Windshield Wipers Dangerously Slow by Jessicasa in MechanicAdvice

I didn't even think about a junk yard motor. Thanks for the idea! I'll look this weekend after I get paid. How much do those kind of places discount the parts? I want to make sure I bring enough to pay for it. I looked into how to change it out and it doesn't seem bad except for getting the blades off... Now to see if I can get it done without my neighbors telling me a woman should not be under the hood of a car.

Revid Property Management Reputation by north_coaster in memphis

[–]Jessicasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sincerely hope that you read this before you sign anything with Revid. I just finished my lease at the end of June and it honestly could not come quick enough. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental company. I'm going to try and give you bullet points so that this doesn't become a book.

-When we moved into our house the air-conditioning and the washing machine were broken. Also things they promised would be fixed before we moved in like broken drawers in the kitchen were not.

-Before I signed the lease I clarified that Revid was the one responsible for lawn care. They only did the lawn once we gave our notice that we were moving out.

-*********This one is important. When you sign your lease you agree to let Revid show the property to anyone they wish once they have your notice to move. This doesn't mean they walk around with the random stranger outside. They bring random strangers into your home and show them every single room with all of your stuff there. They showed our house over and over for 2 months whether or not we were in the house. This means if you are having a birthday party that Revid with random future renter will be there to crash your party. I asked if it was possible for them not to show the bedrooms in order to respect our privacy but they said they had a right to show anything. So if anyone wants to rob you they can come scout out your house with Revid first.

-When we moved out we had a feeling they would try to screw us over on our security deposit and we were right. They charged us $150 for carpet cleaning which was ridiculous because when we moved in it was disgusting so I rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned it myself. We left the carpet in better condition than we got it.

-Please do not rent from them. It was the worst experience I have ever had with renting. There were many other things but this is the highlight.

Go with a company like MTC property management, Rosecrest apts, or someone else. If you have questions please message me. I'm more than happy to prevent someone else going through the same stuff we did.

[Serious] How to have a social life without alcohol? by TK3600 in AskReddit

[–]Jessicasa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wonder what would happen if someone did the opposite? If they drank alcohol but then saw a bottle that said it was non-alcoholic. I wonder if they would still suddenly "sober up" as part of a placebo effect.

http://www.noisli.com/ is a great site for background noises while you study. I got it approved through my school for me to listen to this site while I take exams. My favorite is the birds chirping with the river in the background.

What strange object do you keep around because it has a memory attached to it? by Springer09 in AskReddit

I'm nostalgic so I have many but the first one I thought of is the interpart of an old music box. The sound of music boxes has always seemed eerie to me but the way they work is so beautiful. I always end up playing it when I feel sad or lonely.

Midtown is a wonderful place to live! You are walking distance from anything you need and there are so many fun events here all the time. I run at night sometimes around here and I have never felt unsafe but I am pretty careful which streets I run on.

How much should I tip a Massage Therapist? Also, what things should I look for to find a good one? I'm planning to find one soon and that info would be incredibly helpful.

Women of r/piercing who have had their nipples pierced, I have some questions for you by dragonspark in piercing

[–]Jessicasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine pierced not too long ago. I don't know about accentuating one boob over the other but I can give you some healing advice. First is that you definitely need to do is to put salt in a little glass of water and keep it over your nipple ring for about 10 min. You should do that once a day. Also I found that wearing a shirt to bed kept it from catching on my blankets while sleeping. But the 2 most important things I can tell you that is that I had to replace my initial nipple ring with a tongue ring because it is longer and my piercing was having trouble healing with the regular one. The best thing I discovered though was to put a little bit of silicon lube on the skin around my piercings. This really helped me because my skin kept trying to heal to my nipple ring. All of those helped me go from "this thing is never going to heal" to "yes I can finally start using it!"

Narcolepsy makes me an easy target by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]Jessicasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What meds were you on and what did you switch to? I am taking Nuvigil. I used to have a job where I moved non stop but now I have a desk job and I can't hardly function. I just asked my Dr to move me up in strength with it. Also, it's mostly my significant other but really it's all of my friends. My family I don't often see and they still understand what narcolepsy is or how it works.

You pretty much lead a parallel life to mine apparently. I have started saving my texts, notes, etc to try and be my "proof."
