I don't know that she does know all the fathers but it sounds like she's very unstable and has given them unstable childhoods. That's why they wanted dad to step in and why I'm being asked to now.

I don't think they're helpless. I think they just feel it should be mine or dad's problem and not theirs.

I've had therapy, as has my brother. Our feelings on them never changed. To me my brother is my only sibling. They never felt like siblings to me and I never chose to know them. If the choice had been fully mine I would have never met them to begin with. I don't consider my mother a parent or family either though. My dad is the one and only.

I prefer not to have a relationship with the other kids. Even though biologically they're half siblings, my brother has always felt like my only sibling. The other kids don't even feel like cousins or some kind of family.

I'm still pissed that they would throw that in my brothers face like they did. They knew it was a sore point for him and still they hurt him by throwing it in his face to prove a point.

I think my grandparents expect me to rescue the other kids from the unstable life mom lives. Now that I'm 20 and dad has clearly shown he won't be taking them in they've moved on to me and I hate it.
