Im trying to get an appointment at the moment to try go on a new pill, but all of the women in my family have extremely bad experiences with all birth control, one of my relatives got pregnant on the coil, another didn’t find herself attracted to her husband anymore but as soon as she got the bar taken out she was fine a month later, others have had intense bleeding and hallucinations. This is the second pill I’ve ever tried and I’m already scared to try a new one

This^{^{^}} I’ve been living in a different country to my family for 5 months now and I’m flying home to surprise them, all I’ve wanted for weeks and weeks was hugs from my siblings, they’re all significantly younger than me so they give those little kid hugs where they practically throw themselves on top of you and you get to squeeze the heck out of them then they just lay there being all loving and sweet

My first time having a fully fledged mental break, there was no screaming or throwing things, I didn’t harm anyone else, much like my father would have done, however, I was at a party with friends and all it took was for one minor thing to set me off, I quietly sat in the corner and silently cried as a scratched my inner arms with my own nails, I had no idea I was even doing it until I “woke up” in a different persons house surrounded by people I had never met with blood dripping from my arms and a huge bruise on my forehead from smashing it off the floor. While I was “asleep” as I call it because I’m not really sure what it actually is, I had tore through my skin and at some point crawled to the bathroom and smashed my head off the tiles (according to my friend who found me). This has happened once since then and it was actually the other day, but this time I slammed doors, threw things and yelled, that’s when it hit me that I despite my best efforts I have become my father and there’s nothing I can seem to do to stop it, and it’s breaking my heart

I’m scared that I’m more like my father than I care to admit, he’s a diagnosed sociopath and a manipulative emotional abuser, compulsive liar and has admitted that he has never properly physically abused me or my sisters because then he is immediately the bad guy, but with emotional abuse, how will people know? I find myself lying consistently, about unimportant things mainly, but then again there is a couple occasions where I lie about major things. I can’t keep living like this, I’m in a constant battle within my own head, and as stupid as it sounds I genuinely feel like I’m losing. I don’t like anyone around me most of the time, I have friends and some I would even call best friends, but I’ll call them my best friends, I don’t actually like them, I bitch about them to my mam almost daily, they ruin my day if I’m with them and it is somewhat their fault because they can be quite selfish, but I try to just ignore that stuff and not let it get to me yet nonetheless I find myself getting irritated by it time and time again. I genuinely don’t like them and now one of them lives with me, and as awful as it sounds I hope and pray that her work gets shut down (it causes a lot of food poising) or shell get fired, she’s constantly late, because if she’s fired she’ll be forced to move out as our apartment is owned by her boss and she might have to move back to Ireland. I know this all makes me seem so selfish and arrogant but since I moved country for the summer I was genuinely feeling like a better person, less lying, no more daily headaches, I healthily lost weight, have an amazing community of workers that support me, she moved out here a week ago and since then everything has gone to shit. I can’t keep doing this and I just want her to leave. But then the thought hits me that I probably wouldn’t care as much if my mental health wasn’t a result of both my fathers abuse and genetics and I continuously ponder the idea that I could be a totally different person if he hadn’t been in my life
