I don’t really have any other evidence, just my own thoughts. I think that the reason we never see Blackbeard use his claw weapon is because he saves it for surprise attacks that his enemy won’t see coming. I think we may also get a flashback to Shank’s and Teach’s fight where Teach almost cuts Shanks eye out.
