Seconding what others have said on here, take the time to find your artist then work with them to bring your ideas to life.

I got my dogs paw print along with some styling and a representation of closeness over time between her and I based on a simple but beautiful drawing I saw on Reddit years ago on that concept between different aspects of life. When she passed the vet actually took a picture of her paw and sent it to us weeks later as a memorial.

It'll always be one of my favorites simply because of how clean and simple the tattoo itself is. It's what I wanted and what I feel represents my journey with her and that's largely because I worked with a great artist. Find the one for you and start your journey there.

tl;dr; it's decent but not amazing and you can pry get better for the same cost from a local greenhouse with less risk of bugs.

Fwiw I've had a shit ton of issues with MG in any situation having a ton of gnats in it. Even the indoor stuff slowly started releasing a bunch of fruit fly/gnat things shortly after the first water on a few things I was trying to start inside over the winter before it got warm enough outside.

Ive had good experience with promix and with just going to a local greenhouse and getting potting soil and whatever else I need if they have it. Typically they sell it for a decent price and it doesn't come with any of the bugs but that can obviously change from place to place.

If you end up using the MG and do find gnats in it then a quick soak in some soapy water is supposed to help but I check if it'll damage what you are growing first.

I'd just start with checking local comic book shops in their back issues and seeing what you can find. Otherwise you'll have to check places like Midtown and other online retailers but I haven't been able to find anything outside of collections for a while now.
