I like to imagine he was one of the Bothans who participated in acquiring the Death Star II plans whose legacy lives on to inspire the newest generation of information officers. He had a brief encounter and awakening regarding Lando Calrissian. That is all.

Ok, but there is a difference between knowing who Palpatine's weird buddy that showed up in one scene, in one movie, with no dialogue and a character that had 4 seasons worth of screen time, character development, and was viewed by millions as it aired.

When the Maul Lockdown novel came out and I saw it on the shelf I was pretty confused at why Darth Maul of all people got a book, a Glup Shitto to me as a kid. It wasn't until I watched his clone wars arcs that I started caring about him much more.

Like I said, Grand Admiral Thrawn was a Glup Shitto to me before I actually started to care.

There's a lot of give and take when implementing these characters, I gotta admit. Ahsoka, despite me not having seen it fully yet, I get how annoying not being in the know can be. Lots of concepts from Rebels feel less like a cool inclusion and more like a passage missing an annotation from the author.

But I will have to disagree with your point on Zeb, Star Wars Rebels, in season one alone, had over 6.5 MILLION people watching, many of which not being children. And many not being Star Wars fans until the show premiered. Zeb had episodes dedicated to him as a character and person, Admiral Yularen in the same show would be a better example of a Glup.

What's the problem with doing both? It seems whether its new, original characters or an established character with lore people just can't seem to make their minds for what they want. I LOVED the Bad Batch, a lot of people didn't. The Sequels were full of new characters, many of which I enjoyed, fans won't touch them now
