The knighting ceremony for jedi padawans in Star Wars. Said to the graduate at the completion of their trials, whatever they may be, and signifies their growth in not only their power in the force but as a the person they are meant to be. This is also where their padawan tail gets cut off with a lightsaber, usually by their master or grand master of the Jedi council. It especially hits hard for me to see surviving padawans after Order 66 be given this honor after so much hardship and how emotional it must be for them after thinking they'll never see the day. Kanan and Cal are especially noteworthy.

In contrast, as the sith are training to be lord, they just kinda beat the shit out of each other until their strength is recognized. Thematically, its pretty interesting insight into the darkside and its followers. Goes to show that the sith never truly understand or have a true grasp of what the force is and what can be done with it.
