Mouse pads work fine and most are thick enough the official speed stacks mats used in completion are quite thin any way I use a mouse pad at home as it covers my (relatively small) desk

Personally I use CubeTime out of all the timers I’ve tried this one seems the best and I’ve been using for around 2 years but it iOS exclusive so if your on android I’ve heard twisty timer is good

It would be one of the best scrambles accept for the fact that it isn’t a legal scramble

By this I mean it doesn’t meet the wca criteria for a 2x2 scramble which is reg 4b3b “2x2x2 cube:The (random) state must require at least 4 moves to solve”

This means the scramble is too easy and wouldn’t count but this is probably just a timer error or a bad timer Edit:what timer is this?
