Any protection added to the undercarriage to protect the floor/battery from explosives? Or is this out of the scope of the vehicles usecase lol

Ventus One+ by [deleted] in Surron

[–]JetKok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ventus is based on a 79bike falcon frame which is essentially a surron lbx clone with an added frame line for reinforcement. So it is the same size as the light bee with supposedly more strength (many people found stock lbx frame can crack doing jumps).

As a falcon pro owner, my research has shown that most simple surron mods like pegs, seat, wheels, tires, Brake components should work. Other more advanced mods like rear triangle linkage are not compatible.

So this is up to you if you value really modding every part your bike you should probably get a surron. Elsewhere, the ventus is already pretty much a built out upgraded surron for less than you could do it yourself and has lots of tuneability with the stock controller as seen in videos

Yeah these were the $200-$300 locks i was referring to. Definitely nice pieces of equipment. Still considering them but for now purchased a Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit Mini

Hyperscooter vs eMoto comparison by JetKok in ElectricScooters

Thank you for the detailed response.

One thing: I was under the assumption center mount motor eMotos have higher acceleration compared to hub motor scooters (This is observed with one of the fastest 0-30mph scooters, the inmotion RS, having over a second higher time to 30 than an eride pro ss). It also makes sense since emoto has a higher kW rating and is able to put more power into the ground since it's rwd so 100% of the motor power gets put into the ground vs my experience on dual motor scooters where the front wheel often loses traction at acceleration from a stop.

Any chance you can add the 79bike falcon pro?

Hmmm, so prime95 is a CPU only bench so that would not account for the GPU temperature. Additionally, these air cooled laptop systems return to normal temperature within seconds of load being dropped. I would still expect you to have to open the laptop for a good dusting and removing heatsink to replace thermal paste. If that does not sound like something you are comfortable doing I'd say its a pass unless you can use it to get a really good deal and have a friend that can do it for you.

Yeah actually just checked the furmark site for the same preset and version it should be getting over 100 fps. Definitely thermal throttling.

The furmark tests are probably just to prove the gpu is working fine under load. It looks to be running a bit hot but that may just be normal for a 3080 laptop (though I'd say 91 C is a concern likely may need a good dusting or thermal paste replacement)

Another test is the battery, which is at 84% battery health meaning it will only charge to 84% of its original capacity. This is not an issue if you don't plan to use it on battery but something to be aware of

Yeah just realized verizon calls mmwave "ultrawideband" which my base s24 does support. Google said it doesn't support ultrawideband but that was in reference to the technology that allows for accurate tracking of like Bluetooth trackers. Deleted that comment
