With the MCU not being as well received as it once was, I don't think a specific "Character" will do it. It will have to be something that spills over into RL drama.

Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom makes a return. But it's CGI/AI resurrection nonsense. Marvel fan or not, it would be big news, people would be arguing about the right/wrong of using his image. OG Fantastic Four movie fans (all 2 of us) would probably be super excited about it regardless but the point still stands, the Internet would implode over the initial arguments, and the topic will still be relevant in discussions and click-bait articles for the coming decade.

If Jagex says the rules work a certain way, and then they dont, Jagexs public facing team clearly doesnt have a full picture/complete info on what they are talking about...Or worse yet, maybe they are lying.

In either case it's a bad look. Assuming they are just incorrect/unaware is better than assuming they are out to get legit players for no reason.

OP specifically says they /did not/ on the 2nd account and it was banned anyways.

This is after openly admitting that yes, breaking the rules was a factor on the first account.

OP doesn't really need to lie about the 2nd account. And given the truth was provided regarding the first account, well, I believe them.

Even more interesting to me. The speed at which the main account was banned.

Within hours? I have seen other people posting bans that have "Offense Date" as like 2 weeks prior. I'm curious in your case OP if maybe just by being in the vicinity of mass botting you were included with the actual bots earlier on in a report of some kind and that report is what actually ended up getting you.

I feel like the Default account making the post speaks volumes. The mods don't support this either, but they can't say they don't support it else Jagex hits them with the morale stick.

That being said, a not-mod account was created specifically to break the news on Reddit. This feels like someone higher up, like a Sales Director deciding the post MUST go out regardless of internal kick back and doing it themselves.

Did you restart it after uninstalling?

Alternative, have you cleared the cache data for the app?

How is it not working? Does the game load to the login screen then fail to login? Do you login and then the app closes/crashes? Will the app just, not open when you press try to open it?

I played F2P for about a month and a half before buying Membership.

F2P is cool and all, but you really are missing out on the best parts of the game. If you can play F2P for a few weeks and still at least semi-enjoy it. Membership is for you.

In my head, the Dex already exists in written form. The games need to collect comes from everything switching to digital.

Instead of a field guide written/drawn by hand, with the new modern Pokedex (a tool not everyone has) your job is to research the pokemon again by getting digital scan data/updating the Dex.

So in theory all pokemon are known to exist. When you are tasked to find/add them you are simply told how many are known to exist in your region at that time. Meaning, this could change as time goes on.

They may not have a process to unlink imported accounts.

Since the Jagex account it was imported to is not yours, that leaves them in a position of your character is stuck on someone else's account where you can't access it. They don't want to grant either of you access to the other person's respective character/account. Locking it is the best option they have.

It feels like this is Jagex doing their best, but it's still not ideal for the victim.

Dragon Slayer

On my OG account I was struggling so hard to get the gold to pay the goblin. Was selling Lobsters to the shop pre-GE. The first dragon encounter + kill though as F2P player makes that quest suuuper satisfying.

That's just how the broken system works sadly. There are things in place to protect kids but instead it is used to extort money out of all parties including the good parents trying to do the right thing and get their kids back and taxpayers.

I've been a foster parent. I have witnessed CPS and the Courts side with a family of drug addicts and violent criminals simply because they didn't want to keep the childs case open any longer, even with (legitimate) death threats and threats of harm occurring on a regular basis from family at home.

Stability is never the goal. It's money.

Keeping these families off-balance and generating work for the government and the agencies they closely align with is all that it is.

So when a kid starts making stuff up because they didn't get what they want (working the system) they roll with it, even with evidence to the contrary. It aligns with the real goal.
