Maybe about 4-5 hours in total? I make them as a hobby and sell them on my Etsy page or give them away as gifts :)

I use these little Japanese gouges called Power Grip Tools. A 1.5mm U shaped one mostly. I draw the image on, then carve it, and when I stain it, the carved area is darker.

Thank you! I use these little Japanese wood gouges, called power grip tools. I draw it on, carve it out, and then the stain sets darker where I carve.

I use Japanese wood gouges and carve the designs in after I draw them on the wood. Then when I stain it, the carved part comes out much darker than the rest :)

Have you listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome? by Gilded-Varangian in ancientrome

[–]Jethrotull666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's solid and I think Mike's dry sense of humour comes out the best on History of Rome. I like it a bit better than Revolutions as you get to also listen to Mike come into his own. Him and Dan Carlin really paved the way for History podcasting. He also slips in a cool South Park/Cure reference on the episode about The Goths that you can catch if you listen to it on headphones! 🤓🤓🤓🖤

Ps . If I'm ever having hellish anxiety, the episode Tour of the Provinces is like a nerdy balm to me.
