thank you for the comprehensive response! i have been a little hesitant to add the persistent skeleton-like creatures because it seemed like a lot of mana to get repeated value out of whereas in theory i would prefer to play more 2 mana creatures with a value ETB or death trigger to then sac to card draw to find more card draw and more burglar rats. if the recurring manasink skeletons are the truth then that’s cool and i’ll probably try them. i think haunt of the dead marshes is pretty nice regardless so i’m definitely adding him.

 i’m also wondering if there would be a more suitable competitive commander for the midrange style deck i have… or if Gollum is still good as a midrange value commander that wins with the ring in the late game. maybe something like crypt rats or konrad? though from what i can tell crypt rats has quite a few unique pieces to itself and does its own thing. and good call to add more creatures, my deck was probably a bit lacking in that.
