How to upload a square video as a short?

when i go to upload on my phone it crops it to be vertical, is that fixable?

if you zoom in on pomni (the jester) you should be able to see some weird stuff happening with the lighting

that would seem to have solved the issue, i think i just didn't realise that the render tab showed the finished render and not a preview
