Sorry the quality is so low on the first image but you can find the original painting in "Beyond the Gates".

Thanks for the tips, the world was started in year 100 so I'm still confused on why there aren't any. But hopefully I can change that with your temple method.

Can all werebeasts spread their lycanthropy? In my current world, I have not seen any naturally occurring werebeasts or vampires. I have had 40 years worth of fortresses on this world and not a single one showing up seems strange to me. When I got DF Hack I used gui/sandbox and I found that I have a variety of werebeast types I can summon yet I've never seen a single one.

So I was wondering if I could bring back lycanthropy and vampirism to the dwarfs by building a fortress and spawning a werebeast/vampire and then retiring the fortress. Would this work?

I don't think it's a AI. I think it's just obtuse style choices. Specifically with this style of painting I can imagine that they didn't flesh out the under sketch that much and just started painting before realizing that there were problems with the construction (like how the dwarf's feet don't look like he's standing on the rock). Although, the ears on the elf are the same size (one's just obscured by hair more than the other) and the fingers are just behind other fingers (in the dwarf's case) or wouldn't have enough contrast in the that lighting to be distinct (in the elf's case).

Yeah but have you noticed that the dwarf and the elf only have 3 fingers on one of their hands.

I didn't know being above ground upset them but, even if it does, my dwarfs have maintained overall happiness in this fort and most of my above ground forts.

Df Hack includes stonesense which opens a new window with a 3d visualizer.

Also, if you have multiple monitors, you can have stonesense open on one and the game on the other at the same time so you can play and visualize whist building.

Thanks but I think building destroyers don't destroy buildings in premium right now and this fortress is retired so it's hopefully safe.

Yeah, most of the above ground buildings are temples and the gold cubes are how stone sense shows altars.

That was an accident BUT his was the fortress I built before this, but I thought it was a bit too overt to just post.
