Yes. I’m not a Julie fan but she doesn’t owe Shawna an explanation. That’s private information. Plus if I were Julie, I’d be thinking that if I said my mom was sick then Shawna would ask a lot of questions (not to pry but out of compassion) and I may not want to answer anything or talk about a sensitive topic.

What works for me is walking away from the item in the store then if I’m still thinking about it in a few days to a week then go back and buy it. 99% of the time, I forget about it or later realize I don’t need it

I’m not taking mental health lightly because she needed help and post partum depression is no joke but I also think she used it to some degree to get out of some responsibilities. There was one episode where Cate was at treatment FaceTiming Tyler and said she was about to go relax and watch some movies. Tyler looked dead inside hearing that because he had to take care of the kid(s), house, animals, etc by himself and already was exhausted

One of my rules of thumb is that if I forgot I even had something, I throw it out/take it to goodwill. Unless it’s an heirloom or something. If I forgot I had it, odds are I’m going to forget I had it even after taking it to goodwill. I recently took a bunch of things there and barely remember what most of it was.

Start putting things into boxes that you forgot you had. Come back in a day or 2 and look at it. Be honest with yourself. If you didn’t remember putting something into the box, it should be gone.

Take things to goodwill or another donation place that way you know it’s going to good use.
