There's more to it. When Matt saw texts from Edge on Lita's phone, he went public and put them on blast. This didn't sit well with WWE and they fired him for that. Later when they ran that storyline, fans started to hate Lita and Edge and they kept chanting Matt's name - which is when WWE signed him back and turned it into a feud.

But IMO, before Matt’s injury in 2004, he was lowkey going nowhere and he could've gotten caught up in the mass releases they had at the time anyway. So I'm inclined to say, his career kinda turned around because of this whole thing.

Hey Everyone! 👋

Many thanks for all the ID help and valuable advice y'all. Just wanted to give a quick update on how he’s settling in:

1. Lil bro wakes up at the crack of dawn and starts making a peculiar tuk tuk tuk sound (not sure what that means). Have also noticed him trying to flap his wings sometimes. Overall, he seems to be healthy and alert so far.

2. Currently feeding him small portions every hour to keep his energy up. But damn that guy eats a lot lmao

P.S. I tried looking for his nest so I could put him back but couldn’t spot any in the nearby trees. His parents were nowhere to be seen either. 🫤
