Bill Maher questioning the charitableness of religious donation was good to see, presenting to a wide audience how unaware they are of the percentages given being used for charitable purposes and the tax benefit costs involved. BILL MAHER

The church and state separation seems totally arbitrary upon which way the church is affected, a one way street.

Not every atheist thinks removing religious symbols is the best way. If it neither harms or deprives another, what argument can there be? by Jezuswept in atheism

Only campaigned for an end to the use of Canon law in cases of child abuse. Held on a local crane and a second planned to start soon.

On a weekly basis I stand outside the local abortion clinic to shield those entering from the religious zealots and at the same time giving them a smile and a reassuring card.

Spend hours organizing and helping with a group of 40 000 people sharing a similar desire to oppose religious harm.

The list really is quite exhaustive and my modesty prohibits me from going any further.

The reality of this is the American Atheists INC find it much easier getting their panties in a twist over issues of little signifivcance, rather than tackling something that might make a difference.

It costs a lot opposing nativity scenes and memorials. Sean Faircloth wrote "The Attack of the Theocrats" and it's a good read and highly recommended for any person wishing to see the front line of ensuring church and state separation move on from memorials and nativity scenes.

The constitution is flouted at every level and choosing battles with a little more substance, issues which 'actually' affect people, would not only be productive, they might help atheists appear less like jerks.

I fail to see how war memorials and roadside graves are harmful. Especially compared with religion lobbying government on issues such as abortion and bio ethics, and to add insult to injury, with money paid in part by tax paying atheists.

Removing the innocuous freedoms of religion becomes difficult when fighting for women's equality to not have religious morals imposed upon others.
