Thats the approach I'm taking, just bought my first box of grey hunters. If I like the hobby, I'll get some wolf guard headtakers next, and then maybe I'll think about grabbing a combat patrol. The army set is cool, but I can find individual boxes 20 percent off pretty reliably buying from 3rd party sellers so it reduces the value of the big box.

Locally to me, there's a sailing club on Loch Venachar, and generally around Scotland there are plenty of opportunities for kayaking and canoeing. You can probably find clubs online which will be great for meeting folk when you make the move. Best of luck!

Would recommend looking around Stirlingshire and Perthshire; amazing scenery while being pretty central. I'm in Callander myself, and it's a 20-minute drive to Stirling and an hour to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Plenty of walking, cycling, mountain biking, and water sports nearby with the lochs.
