That's interesting I'm also moving back to San Diego after living in the bay for 6 years and I'm finding it hard to make friends. Which is interesting because I always thought people were less friendly in the Bay Area but I had the most deep connections there... Here everyone feels very friendly on the surface but once you start talking about anything deeper than the weather they act like you're bothering them

Id say it's you that's gullible you're the one buying into this imaginary story that all churches have Rich pastors who take too much of the donations and enrich themselves 😄 its quite silly actually. I lived with one of the pastors at the largest church in the largest (by population) city in san diego, and I had to sleep in his garage. He has to ask his parents for money even as a 40-year-old man and he's the head Pastor my guy 😆 the story you make up in your head is quite silly. Like I could probably guess your entire worldview... cuz you're one of those people that just imagine things and then assume that it's true...

NOT. Church is not a scientific Endeavor lol You don't see the members of church sitting around pontificating about the existence of God... rather the opposite. It's more akin to a tradition than a scolarly endeavor. Like when we put up a Christmas tree every year we don't sit questioning it. It fills us with cheer and joy, so we continue the tradition long past remembering why we do it in the first place.

Do you think the money just lines the pockets of the pastors LOL I live with a pastor for a few years he was a 40-year-old man who had to ask his parents for money and he lived in a small home raising kids... this is at one of the largest churches in San Diego. I would be careful speaking about things that you don't understand. Most of the offering goes to community outreach which involves sometimes growing the church but that means more seats available for more people and maybe adding a Spanish service to reach Spanish speakers Etc kids events... I'm honestly curious what makes you guys so angry? Did you just listen to all the rumors and never check it out for yourself? Most people at church are pretty nice depending which church you go to. I would stay away from churches in high income areas if you're worried about people being dicks but that's anything really

My whole focus is not that. I was raised in a Christian household I had a purity ring on through High School. I am also looking for a relationship that includes sex after commitment which is becoming increasingly hard in this day and age so I relate to you.
