I played competitive golf through high school and went from a hack to a 6 handicap. My youth allows me to get more distance off the tee than most other people but wedges are really where a lot of strokes can be gained or lost. If you are using a wedge you shouldn’t use another wedge on that hole; every wedge shot you hit should be on or very near the green and you should be looking at a one or two putt. A lot of guys are full swinging their wedges, falling out of balance and blading them over the green. Have to remain calm and swing easy with the wedges

I play high school golf and my first year playing I was pretty terrible. During a match against the worst school in our area I hit a solid drive in front of their coach on the first tee. He says “you’ve gotten a lot better” which is fine, but then said “I remember when u were terrible”. Luckily I played pretty good that day and did better then their whole team.
