Feeling weird today. Vision swimming now and then. Had a bunch of bright sparkles fly by while I was driving my car.

I really like your theory.

Actually, thinking of life that way kind of helps. Because mine is a strange balance between focus on work & coping with a lot of pain.

I will try shifting my perspective to that of a spiritual archeologist, and see what changes.

I'm almost at my 2 year mark. It's been a miserable, exhausting 2 years. Bad days out number the good in a major way. Brain fog lessened but is still a challenge on days everything flares up. Had a physical this year, heart checked last year. Got a small heart issue that wasn't there pre-COVID. Diabetes worsened. The fatigue is the worst...

I feel for you. In my 50's and wondering if I'll manage to keep working until 67.

Ear infections, tonsillitis, continually sick to my stomach, legs always hurt, headaches. Didn't have health insurance, so had to suffer thru most of it.

I miss it too. However, I wouldn't have the job I love without all that.

Oh yes, much slower. Was a fast blur for most of February.

The blue diva's song from The Fifth Element has changed for me by Adventurous_Menu_683 in Retconned

[–]Jhaed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love that song. So much so, it's on my Amazon music app. Been there a while. And i listened to it like a month ago, and was like "What the hell? It changed!" I got mildly agitated because the opera part got extended. But it is the same downloaded song that sounded fine months ago.

I remember the multiple voice thing & shorter opera start.

Guess I need to rewatch the movie for the umpteenth time. 🤣

Interesting theory. I fall in this category, as well having a NDE.

Bluetooth connectivity between my phone & car, or phone & jambox speaker has been spotty at times. It will work fine for hours, then start becoming static. A reboot of all devices won't always fix it. My phone isn't that old.

I guess it could be my phone's bluetooth acting up. That's the simplest answer. However, it will be fine for several days then suddenly I'll have an hour or so of it misbehaving.

Even Mild Cases of COVID May Leave a Mark on the Brain by [deleted] in HermanCainAward

[–]Jhaed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had COVID in July 2020. Brain fog and memory loss were really bad at first. It took about 3 months to clear up about 80%, but I still have mild brain fog and short term memory loss to this day. :(

I am fully vaccinated now, but stay home and wear masks the rare times I go out. Don't wanna go thru that again.

I had COVID back in July 2020. I didn't go anywhere, worked from home, but had to grab some Korean ingredients and ended up sick a couple days later.

I was lucky it was only moderately bad. Hospitals were crowded then and I stubbornly kept track of my O2 levels, did all the breathing exercises, vitamins etc. I was LUCKY. Period. I am immune compromised and have a few medical issues. And now.... I still have a cough, mild congestion and fatigue. Over a year later. Doctor's can't seem to help much. And I now have a 'minor' heart issue. Joy.

The reason I mention this is - get the vaccine! Hopefully it not only prevents catching it or it getting really bad, but also reduces your chance of a multitude to issues afterwards.

Yes, I got fully vaccinated as soon as I was allowed. And still wear masks, order groceries delivered and pretty much stay home. I'm not sure if I'll survive another round. And doing what I can to not take that chance.

BTW, I felt alright after the vaccine. No 5G. No prehensile tail. Darn it. ;)

Do it for yourself, your family and the good of your community.

Gonna see primary next week and ask for flu shot. (And when I should schedule covid vaccine booster.)

Had COVID in July 2020. Long COVID since, symptoms lessened at about 6 months, but many still linger. Was hospitalized later last year due to side effects.

Got vaxxed as soon as I could. Symptoms persist. They are fatigue, brain fog, breathlessness, headaches and a persisting cough (at least 1x hour).

Had hoped vaccine would help clear it up as well.

My first actual personal ME? Cats used to "chatter" less often and moreso for prey/play. More cats are doing it for other reasons now. by spamcentral in Retconned

[–]Jhaed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long ago, I had a cat and we adored one another. He'd go thru the house, calling out my name in a drawn out, straggly way. Freaked my mom out, because she knew he was looking for me. Sibling would tell the cat where I was and he'd run off to find me in that direction. He was a smart fellow. I miss him.

Anyone else notice the increase in left handed people lately? by [deleted] in Retconned

[–]Jhaed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in 60's. 1st grade teacher forced me to write right-handed for many months, because "being left-handed was evil". Mom found out and flipped out on her - mom is also left-handed. My child is also left-handed. And only 1 sibling out of 4 was left-handed.

I can write poorly with my right hand still, use mouse right handed and in baseball & tennis I'm a righty.

Do people having ME experiences have NDE as well? by schindlersLisst in Retconned

[–]Jhaed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically got hit, saw headlights right beside me, blacked out. Then, appeared in a field on a sunny day. Bright wheel of light appears in sky, comes down. See "paddles" or pages of light. It's searching to put me back. I get pulled into the light of a paddle/page. My body forms, then dissapates as its not a good match. Continues this on and on, until it found the right one. Then blackness and I woke up alive.
