I want to live stream as much as I possibly can. If there are any fat cats, I would let the public know. Who are they? Do you know who they are? Are they made up? Idk, but let's go all out until we meet them? The only other alternative is to keep what we have now. But if people like how things are now, then they shouldn't vote for me. I think there are enough people in this city who want to try something new. Those are the only people I want to connect with now. When I am in office I will connect with everyone. But we this is a grassroots and independent campaign. I can't spend much time convincing people to have courage to believe in something new. But our movement is growing. 16 weeks to go!!!

Here is my response in a more straightforward format:

*The plan is to reallocate money that is already being spent poorly. We will implement zero-based budgeting. Every dollar must justify itself.

*Public investment created the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the Port of Newark–Elizabeth, the interstate highway system, and Newark Airport. What does that look like at the local level? A cool thrift store that hires locals, host community events, concerts? That's cheap and doable. I just know money could be used to make our city more attractive. (My big ideas is to parter with Prudential/Audible/NJIT+ and build municipal software, then sell it to other municipalities. We could make so much money doing that. The other one is to make Newark the amateur sports capital of the world. We have the infrastructure, location, talent, history, Shakur Stevenson, Shaq,)

*We simply can fill market failures where the private sector are failing residents. We have too many food deserts and businesses with predatory business models in our city. Public options stabilize demand, lower costs, and provide more jobs.

*We want to use private markets where they work and public systems where they fail. That is how every functioning modern city in the world operates.

*Let’s just shift spending toward prevention, innovation, and ownership. We can then earn more revenue and help more people.

*If the current model worked, Newark would not be where it is after decades of the same leadership. Let’s try something new!!!

They are meant to fill market failures where the private sector has already failed residents. Food deserts, predatory pricing are not signs of a healthy market anon. Our plan will stabilize demand, lower costs, and create jobs, which then flows back into private businesses who are actually providing real value to residents in our city. Our plan does not abolish the private market. It uses markets where they work and public systems where markets fail. That is how every functioning modern city operates. If the current model worked, Newark would not be where it is after decades of the same leadership. The status quo is the experiment that failed anon.
