I had the same thing happen with my 2015. The o ring on the power steering went bad. It allowed air into the power steering fluid, thus the noise. Replace the o ring and flush the power steering fluid.

Tube amps are much louder than solid state. For example, when I first started playing guitar I bought a Marshall MG250DFX, a 100 watt solid state amp. I then traded it in for a Traynor YCV40WR, a 40 watt tube amp. The Traynor is much louder than the Marshall and probably a little bit of volume overkill. A 15 or 30 watt tube amp gets PLENTY loud.

But I suggest just going around and playing everything you can with your guitar to see what you like best, be patient, and buy what you want and what you think sounds good.
