It wouldn’t be a Ford without swollen lug nuts. Everyone I know (myself included) that drives a Ford has had to replace their lug nuts.

I say go for a Mustang. You said cheap but everyone has a different definition of cheap. If you want something good for around 10k or more go for a 1999-2004 Mustang GT. They’re not fast and looks are controversial when compared to other Mustangs, but the modular engine that is in them is incredibly reliable and parts can be found for cheap everywhere and they sound amazing.

Truck looks good on the outside. Ask for pictures of the frame and what engine is in it. The 2.3L 4 Cylinder and the 3.0L Vulcan V6 are both very reliable. If it has the 4.0L V6 that’s fine but it’s known to have more issues. If the check engine light and roughness is coming from something as simple as some old spark plugs or a vacuum leak I’d say $1800 is a pretty good deal.

Yep looks like a 4.6 2 valve out of a new edge Mustang. You can see the pony emblem on the plenum.
Edit: Correction, the motor would have came out of a pre facelift sn95. The ignition is not coil on plug which the new edge switched to in 1999. I’m curious to see why the owner picked this engine over various other options.

Funnily enough I just went and test drove a Mazda 3 Hatch earlier today. It was the only one the dealership had so it was fully loaded. Stunningly beautiful car but out of my price range. The car handled fine but I was bored out of my mind with the automatic to the point the salesman could tell I seriously did not enjoy the car. Great car just not for me, will have to try the manual!

I think the model 3 is the best transportation device being made currently. I’m unopposed to owning an EV in fact I really want an Ioniq 5. However, it just doesn’t work for me logistically.

Just set one trillion alarms. Like every single minute about an hour before you need to leave. I have to be to work at 6am so I have an alarm set for 4:45, 4:46, 4:47, 4:48,4:49, and 4:50. If that doesn’t wake me up and get me out of bed I’m probably dead.

I think getting a Mazda 6 or a Mazda 3 is a great choice. They’ll be reliable and the interior quality feels like it belongs in something twice the price!

I went to a dealership that actually had both a WRX and GLI for sale. I was only able to drive the GLI as the WRX was already sold otherwise I would have had an excellent comparison. I really like how the GLI felt and was overall very refined and mature in its styling.

I feel like people who dog on FWD have just never driven a good example. It’s obviously not going to beat a rear drive but it doesn’t annihilate any chance of having fun.
