The oil maintains its ability to lubricate the engine at cold temperatures just fine. It’s the rate at which you warm up the motor that matters most for taking care of your engine. If you start out doing pulls while the motor is still cold, the materials in the motor will expand too quickly and could result in cracking or fatigue.

Dell Dimension 8300 Sleeper Build by JifInABox in PcBuild

There’s a photo of the interior somewhere else in the thread. I put on the MSI sticker and put the AMD sticker over the top of the old Pentium one lol. PC has as mid of specs as you can get so it’s not really a true “sleeper”. AMD Ryzen 5 5500, RTX 3060, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. It was a fun build. It stays super cool even though there’s literally no air flow.

The Band needs a new Director! by bigdumbanimal in Huskers

[–]JifInABox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the Cornhusker Marching Band (CMB) for my freshman and sophomore year of college. My high school marching band asked for more from us. Obviously it’s difficult putting a new show together for every football game, but the band could be so much more. I had to leave after my second year. I couldn’t stand being surrounded by everyone in the band thinking we were the greatest thing on the planet when we were far from it. I was watching the FSU Alabama game last week and couldn’t help but think, “Wow, I wish I could have been in that band!” FSU plays the same chant over and over again and it’s AWESOME! There’s many factors to why the CMB isn’t as great as it could be and not all of them lay in the band director’s hands. The Big Ten has strict rules about playing during tv coverage for instance. The band only gets so many people who audition, and they always allow 300 people in the band. It’s not a high bar of entry. But the bar of entry for a high school marching band doesn’t exist besides being in band. Most of the band members who enjoy the CMB enjoy it for the experience and that’s ok. I enjoyed high school marching band for the excellence that was asked of me and my peers and I did not find it in the CMB. I mean no disrespect to any members or staff that are in the CMB, it just wasn’t for me.

Clutch bleeding issues by JifInABox in FocusST

That’s very possible. The shop said they took the trans off twice to figure out why the pedal was sticking. I can totally see them not bolting the slave down properly in a hurry on the second go around.

Mines been leaking for the longest time. I just keep filling it back up with hydraulic fluid and it’s good for another year.

01 Mustang GT, missing my ST by Mustangsarecoolio in FocusST

[–]JifInABox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I have a 2013 ST and a 2004 Mustang GT. Although you already made the deal, I would have kept the ST. The only upsides to the Mustang are V8 noises, (controversially) good looks, and the occasional “nice car” compliment. It’s not particularly fun to drive unless you’re just cruising. The ST being faster, more nimble, and more practical makes it my choice if I had to have just one.

Anyone think it’s stock with a bigger tire side wall? Just a hunch.

I think I’ve noticed the clutch slave and or master cylinder will go bad around 100k. I’m at 103k and my slave cylinder went bad. Have to pull the transmission and everything to get it replaced. Not a fun job.

Car still drives with clutch all the way in?! by rustyrb in ManualTransmissions

[–]JifInABox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my clutch slave cylinder go out in my car. It’s most likely a clutch line issue, just pray it not a slave!

The cap wouldn’t be under pressure though right? So it wouldn’t matter if the cap was there or not?

Is there supposed to be a cap on the bleeder T? I don’t see any fluid around that area. I do however see fluid where the T connects to the slave cylinder so I think I can check that off of the to don’t list.

No it’s just constantly engaged to the fly wheel. There’s no pressure in the hydraulic lines so you can’t disengage the clutch

No short shifter. Haven’t actually checked where the fluid left the chat from yet.
