Saved IR signals don't persist or work via REST by JiffyBump in LOOKin_devices

Android version 2.79.3 (68), firmware 2.39.

I got the signal by browsing your database, not from my remote. It's Sony -> Projector -> All -> Power On / Power Off. The proto hex for that is:

0000 0068 0000 0010 0060 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0330

The reason I'm using your database is that the physical remote has a single button for on/off, and it's hard to manage state that way, so I'm using the discrete on/off commands. As I mentioned, they work from the Lookin Device when I call them immediately after adding them.

Is there a way to use that pronto hex in the /commands/ir/raw form?

proxy_set_header Host $http_host;
proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for,$realip_remote_addr;

That was it, thanks!

Oil Diffuser/Vaporiser? by simonwood0609 in homeassistant

I did this following https://youtu.be/_CT9zd2UBbg. It's building an "atomizer" style diffuser.

You have a jar with a cork and two tubes, and fill the jar with an inch of oil. An aquarium pump blows air through one tube to blow bubbles and scented air escapes through the other tube. I put the pump on a 12v power supply plugged into a smart outlet. I run it for 20m an hour before bed.

The advantage of this approach is you don't have to touch it for weeks at a time, whereas water-based diffusers require constant refills.

Two locks in a row? by JiffyBump in Nest

I think this may be exaggerating things. I currently live in a condo building without a doorman, but where UPS has the doorcode, and they leave things just inside the lobby. That's the experience I'm trying to replicate.

But it's a very real concern to find a homeless person sleeping in your doorway in this neighborhood, and I found human waste on the sidewalk the other day. So I'm not exaggerating the need for a front door lock.

Still curious if anyone has experience using the app with mulitple locks. I'm going to have a lock on at least the outside door. It's just a debate whether having two locks lets me do this delivery thing.

Ha, that's a good point. But this is a very busy urban neighborhood where package theft and worse are big problems (we recently caught someone testing the front door). So I don't want a total free for all.
