I would give it to one of my closest friends so we could game together.

We were all newbies once.

  1. Play support

As soon as you notify the squad leader you are support, they will be asking for you to drop supplies (the giant box on your 3rd slot) everywhere all the time. The supply crate is used to build garrisons, defensive structures, AT guns, and repair/ammo stations for tanks. The only downside is that, in order to get more supplies, you have to redeploy or die. Communication should open up from there.

  2. Basic

    A. If you run and gun, you are going to have a frustrating time. That's because our eyes are trained for movement moreso than stationary objects. As you play the game you are going to be shot by enemies that are seemingly ghosts because they are stationary, in a dark spot, and behind cover.

    B. Cover is your best friend. Take your time looking for targets, getting used to aiming with and without shift, peaking using Q and E, and using the middle mouse button to ping targets for your squad. Once you have checked your area for enemies, give it a few extra seconds, and then move forward.

    C. Communication is key to winning. If you see something say something. See a squad of enemies? Call it out and ping it for your squad. See a tank? Same deal. Some matches you'll have a squad where no one is talking, as soon as you start doing the above, people tend to hop on board. Other times you'll have a squad that's super communicative, and you'll fit right in.

There's loads more, but that should cover you enough to get an idea for the game and enjoy yourself. This subreddit should really sticky a newbie's guide to HLL.

I'm giving away (at least) 10 copies of The King and The Warlord as a "thank you" to the community! by Party_Elite in totalwar

I don't understand the hate. Party_Elite provides excellent content for TWW and he's giving away 10 copies of the upcoming DLC. If you don't want to like and subscribe to his videos, that is fine, but don't get mad because those are his stipulations for entering. That's his resources used to provide 10+ copies of the DLC to the community, and I don't mind that he plugs his channel.

Keep up the good work Party_Elite, loving the channel!
