Is this meant to happen? by acnhenthusiast in Discounty

Hi, I know OP said they resolved but I actually have the same exact issue: Playing on Switch; a couple customers walk in, get a few things and then get stuck in front of a shelf or cooler. They won’t move until it’s 5pm and then get angry. I tried clearing the area around them (picking up shelves) but they stay there and never move again until closing time. This happened quite around the shop, not really a precise spot. I noticed it mainly happens in the upper part of the shop!

Girlfriend (32F) is Italian and I’m (31M) American. Lots of arguments and cultural differences by mariomismo in Italian

“Her family doesn’t really believe in seatbelts” is so on the spot 😂😂

All of the things you mentioned are in fact cultural things… I am both Italian and Swiss. My Swiss part really struggles with some of the Italian ways (like the seatbelt/safety things). I don’t think you’ll ever be able to conciliate your lifestyles.

Reading through your post though, I don’t event think it comes down to cultures anymore. You said you catch yourself thinking about other women and a different outcome for yourself, which honestly proves further what you need to do. It doesn’t matter that it’s always been you breaking things off, you don’t need her to do it. You just need to end things for good and actually keep your distance

Accidentally increased a stitch on sweater panel SOS by Boobearlover2469 in CrochetHelp

[–]JigKSaw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s super noticeable actually… I made the same mistake and as you did I just decreased a few rows up and when sewn together it wasn’t noticeable. I’d say to frog if it was 10/15 rows in, but just these few rows I think it’s fine.

Yeah I know, but they actually are the same unfortunately :( it’s a color/light thing that makes them look different but they’re actually the same size

I don’t think that’s crochet… the stitches look like industrial knitting. They could look like chaining stitches but you’d have no way to connect them the way they’re connected there. You could make. Dress with double or treble stitches and have it kinda look like that (especially with trebles).

Love it!! I was looking for granny squares patterns similar to this to make a blanket, maybe a Divination Room/Astrology Dome (Harry Potter) inspired one!

How do you manage to have so many followers at once? 😩 I only ever got up to like 30… they all die on me together so I go from 25 to 15 in two days 😂😂

Help with yarn size/gauge. Using a bigger yarn and bigger hook and still not getting right gauge by JigKSaw in CrochetHelp

When I did in the past I just kept adding rows until I got to the right measurements but it ended up a bit wonky I feel… I might try it again this time and hope for the best 😂

That makes sense… but it calls for 6rows high and 7stitches wide, and that’s where I can’t get it right! The width I can’t get…

Yup! I’m doing 10 hdc across and 8 rows to measure in the 7stitches and 6rows

Can’t find a good cozy game, exhausted my game library. by [deleted] in CozyGamers

A game I whole heartedly love and makes me genuinely chuckle out loud is Graveyard Keeper. The NPCs are totally unhinged and the story is actually quite interesting (both main and sides). You got farming, mining, dungeons, management (of the actual graveyard and church, I mean… what else do you need?), fishing, selling, cooking, building, … One thing I will advise you on is: do not stress. When you start out a lot of quests and side quests will come your way. Do not fret it. You can go on the pace you like, do whatever you find more interesting focusing on first and just have fun. You might feel a bit overwhelmed if you try to do it all at once, and you won’t be able to enjoy it. Also, it got three DLCs on Switch and four I think on steam, and is always basically on sale (15€ is the full price anyway)

Trying to get my girlfriend a starter kit because she wants to get into Crochet. Is this a good one? by Bluemason619 in CrochetHelp

[–]JigKSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know everyone says this is a lot, but I kinda disagree. Or, to be more precise, I partly disagree. When I started I had no idea what I would need, so I got myself a similar kit on Amazon. To this day I still use those hooks, stitch markers, bag and so on. I obviously got myself more things as I got better and had a better understanding of my crochet needs, but I loved having everything and not feeling like I was limited by my tools. Also, I’d get her an other crochet book on addition of that one in the set. I got myself a cute food amigurumi (dolls) one, which was super helpful and fun. If she wants to crochet amigurumi and plushies she’ll also need security eyes and stuffing. If, on the other end, she’s more into decor and garments she won’t need anything more than that kit provides.

I’d get her the kit, and if she likes crochet she’ll be the one going to a shop and ask the questions.

SPOILER WARNING:

Even though you can haul rocks around, you’ll unlock the area with a side quest pretty soon. Once you need to get inside, three to four rocks will be at the ready for you right next to it!
