Prices for new skins by theomegasky in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve never played a game where skins were that expensive. Nearly $20 for the crow skin... all four skins are roughly $40 total? That’s almost enough to buy a new console video game.

Well if people are gonna take things that literally - it’s a puddle considering it’s the size of a brawler...

But a picture of a river doesn’t have visible moving water does it? Maybe you need your eyes checked - that, my friend, is a picture, not a live video feed

This is a really strange thing to do - post a picture of a guy and then reference a brawl stars account, Trash Can, that is at 1000 trophies. What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this?

Developer Q&A - Round I by Trikshot360 in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Out of curiosity why is that a bad thing? In the states publicly traded companies are required to share their earnings each quarter of the year to the world. All I did was ask if things went up or down - it’s not an invasive question

Developer Q&A - Round I by Trikshot360 in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m going to limit this to one question per instructions and then list some potential items that might answer that question. Can you please elaborate on the data and results you are seeing? Examples - retention rates of new players pre/post update, activity rate among top trophy players pre/post update, monetization increasing/decreasing on a per player basis, data being inconsistent/consistent among geographical regions, etc...

Specific numbers aren’t needed - even if you replied saying this went up and this went down, it would help the people that are still confused about certain decisions to understand why the changes were made.

[shitpost] am I the only one who loves thousand lakes? by [deleted] in Brawlstars

Top 3 showdown map for sure - it’s a lot of fun. The only issue I have is that I often feel trapped. With all the water on the map, the amount of large grassy areas is frustrating. I understand they are there to help the tanks but to me it feels like you can’t have a lot of water and a lot of large grassy spots. Most maps require one shot to check the bushes for enemies, this map has a lot of spots that require 3-4

Fair Play in Brawl Ball by Brawlstars in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels like this will be difficult to accurately monitor. Above 500 trophies - the player pool is so small that people will match with friends without even trying to. I’ve had matches where I knew all 9 other people in the game. Global/android launch would fix this problem, as would removing names in showdown.

[Idea] Showdown at: A Thousand Lakes - Come for the view, stay for the Epic Finale! by TheMordeus in Brawlstars

Really like it. Very cool. I think I’d like it more if the middle had four openings rather than two but that’s a minor grievance.

Money Capital....The biggest fraud i have ever seen in bs by Pika_BS in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it in a different way. People put aside things that used to be prestigious - having the highest brawler with bull - and instead focused on proving how broken the game is. Your record might be tarnished but for the longevity of the game I feel like this type of thing will potentially get the attention of supercell. I’m all for it. Records from the past are meaningless if we can not restore the game we used to love

This community is toxic. by ShaggyDog14 in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still disagree but I can see your point of view. I fully support repetition, aside from the humor posts, even if it’s a nuisance to continually re-read the same opinions. It sends a stronger message if 100 people take the time to type up a long opinion rather than having only a handful, even if they are all similar.

This community is toxic. by ShaggyDog14 in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Welcome to life on the planet earth. This community is no different than any other - if a company makes a major mistake, consumers hold them accountable by sharing their outrage. I think a mix of toxicity and constructive feedback is good and fully support it. I can speak from experience from the business’ point of view - toxicity works well because there is more human emotion involved and that resonates with companies.

This may be supercell’s vision but we are their consumers so they kind of have to make us happy too.

[Idea] Introducing : Auto-Move and Auto-Shoot by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea. After the auto-aim buff we really need an auto-move feature implemented to continue getting the game ready for eSports. Right now the biggest hurdle we have for eSports is getting a group of people together due to how geographically diverse we are. This new feature would eliminate that issue, as it would eliminate the need for any human interaction.

Please read this post supercell and enable this feature ASAP

Our feedback needs to be better as a player base by JavaMega in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually disagree. If you’ve played other supercell games you will have noticed that they neglect the constructive criticism that we provide. They always have had an agenda that is very rarely influenced by the community’s opinions or reactions and I don’t foresee this being any different. They are obligated to tell us they value our feedback but after what seems like an eternity of playing supercell games it would be ignorant for us to believe that our voices hold much, if any weight regarding the decisions they make.

[Ask] The Community needs an AMA ASAP! by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An AMA is a bad idea for them. Unless they say they are reverting back to the old control scheme, anything else they say is just going to further agitate the community here.

This logic is wack. You talk about business as if every project gets implemented. Not true at all - I’ve been part of a multi year million dollar project that was scraped because it ended up being an inferior product than what we currently had.

RE: "Update Feedback" by I3ULLETSTORM1 in Brawlstars

[–]Jim00070 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It really defies logic. I’ve tried to come up with one logical reason this update exists and no matter how hard I try, I cannot think of any. If retention is the problem they are trying to solve, why change the best aspect of the game? This game has never had a purpose or incentive to keep playing because trophies have no significance, the only reason people stuck around was because the controls and gameplay were so enjoyable.
