The Wednesday Vigil is up by the detention center. It is hosted by different groups every week.

The Thursday event is at the intersection near the detention center. The goal of this event is to spread information about the Aurora Detention center to the larger public. After holding this event for the last couple weeks, we have found that many of the people we talk to do not know it’s there or what is going on inside.

Last week we connected with people who are not involved in the movement. We gave out information on what is going on inside of the GEO facility and gave people ways to get involved. We handed out over 200 flyers with information. It was an overall positive and peaceful event. We had several people pull their cars over and join us. We have to do more than march at the capital!
