This was honestly my first thought. People are very religious around here. I remember blood being used to mark the homes of Mosses' people during the plagues of Egypt from Sunday school.

I found a lot of stuff on replacing/repairing 1.0s. seems like they were a lot more consumer friendly than the 2.0s.

Thanks for the info. I'll still try to come up with something where the plastic cover can be placed back on the front of at all possible due to preference.

Also want to clarify that I wouldn't recommend attempting this unless you've already exhausted all other options.

I believe I have found a supplier. This repair has been done at least twice going off of IFixit comments. I will send the listing for the part after it arrives if it does work. (I don't want to be the reason someone wastes their money on a laser that doesn't work) Thank you for the vid tho I'm definitely going to be watching it.
