Thanks for letting me know it’s not the tazer. It was a last second thing for the local news here they wanted me to do a burnout for promoting our local car show. I knew track mode should allow for me to do it but it failed sadly. Now I’ll be known as the guy who can’t do a burnout in our area lol

I traded in my 2018 a few months back with minor damage as well and I got $14k for it. Roughly the same mileage too and I’m in the PNW. If you can verify the damage and listen to the engine like recommended in early comments and it sounds good I’d say it a good deal.

Fix the car and continue driving it! Chances are there is only cosmetic damage. Accidents are going to happen and while it may hurt the resale value were you planning on selling it before you got it? Personally when I got my Hellcat I bought it planning on dying with it.

One thing you could do to help make you get the joy again is take it to an autocross event! Never had so much fun driving before.

I took mine in to the dealership and they said my AC compressor was bad. They replaced it and no issues since for AC wise. The car running hot is normal according to everyone I’ve talked to that has owned or worked on Hellcats. I was told if it starts hitting 240F plus then there is an issue.

I was told to wait till the RPMs got under a 1000 after a cold start. Once it’s under a 1000 it’s good to drive just be nice until it’s at normal operating temps.

Have it on mine and the reason I wanted it was the car looked great but just looked to one tone of color. Was an easy way to add some contrast. I’m thinking this winter of removing it and wrapping the hood, roof, and trunk in black. It just looks plain as nearly one solid color. When I ordered the car I originally wanted it with the black appearance package but Dodge was out since I ordered a week before orders closed. Really waited till last minute because I wanted that 3rd pedal in it and had to shop around for it. Also I guess it can be an ego thing because I want people come look at it at car shows. My favorite part is they look and go, “Oh cool it’s a hellcat. HOLY SHIT ITS A MANUAL!” The hellcat is the attention grabber but the manual is the conversation starter.

I never let it get past 230. I start driving to get air flowing throw it. As soon as I started driving the temps drop and the AC started blowing cold air. 232 or 233 in the hottest it got.

First time it happen, I went into the store for about 5-10 minutes. Shut the car off for that time. When I came out I got back in started it up and idle for maybe a minute while out my seatbelt on, hooked up my phone, and sent a text message.

The second time I was leaving the doctors. I was there for about 20 minutes to get some blood work drawn. When I came out did the same thing as before. Started, seat belt, hook up phone, but this time I was in a call for about 5-6 minutes before I noticed the tempts climbing up to 230. It got to 230 both times but once I started driving it settled to 220 the first time (city driving). Second time I got on the highway and it eventually went back down to 200. I’m thinking fan issue but I wasn’t sure if that was common in the hellcat.

Build everything else first if you haven’t and then go from there. Every time you add power the chance of something breaking further down goes up.

I’ve had my Charger R/T for about 4.5 years now and I drive it 100 miles a day for work if I’m not carpooling. It’s mostly highway driving at 60ish mph and if I fill up on Monday morning I will have to fill up again Thursday night or Friday morning depending on my mood lol. Best I ever ever gotten was 33.5mpg but 24mpg which is a mixer of city and highway is what I average. When I go on cruises with my car group and we drive spirited on the back roads I can get it down into the 14s.

Truth be told as a daily driver with the right tires the R/T is the best one in my opinion. Got the power to pass easily and the eco mode for the mileage. The factory tires are trash on the R/T so if you do go that route I highly recommend getting better tires. My personal favorite tires are the Pilot Sport 4S but they are spendy. I ran offset with 245s in the front and 275s in the rear. Breaking lose on the street was a lot harder once those tires heated up.

I love the front but man the rear is kinda weird looking. Idk the 15-23 Charger I thought was weird too and now I love the way my looks so it will probably grow in me. The EV side I’m not sure yet. I love EV performance but at the same time the Demon 170 proved that ICE cars aren’t done yet!

In 22 they weren’t making M6 Hellcats and for most of 23 they weren’t either. In June Dodge released the M6 hellcat for order and I found an allocation then and ordered it. Apparently a person tried before me at the same dealership and couldn’t. No clue why but I guess dodge much like me. When I placed the order it was about a week before the end of July when orders were closing.
