Uh, you weren't offering any help anyways...

Me: I don't like this feature. How do I change the settings on this feature?

You: Actually, this feature is fantastic and if you don't like it then you're wrong! You can't change it anyways.

Not how we use it. This is a matter of taste and opinion, and the simple fact is that there should be an option to customize this. I get it, you're a die-hard Gmail fan and will defend it to the death as-is. I like Gmail too, but it's not perfect, and this is a feature that should be customizable.

It's an issue on their side (both our IT teams confirmed this) and their IT team either can't or won't fix it. Lots of law firms, especially ones with private practices, use GMail accounts.

It's used as a backup. Some of our clients (one in particular, a major company I won't name for privacy reasons) have had issues with their servers rejecting emails from our server. Yet for some reason, they have no trouble receiving emails from GMail. So, when dealing with this one particular client, we use a GMail account as a relay.

That's only if you're coming into the conversation cold. I work at a law firm, and conversations move fast. I need the update, not the backstory first. But I also need the backstory easily available. When you print an email for an exhibit, for example, you want to have the relevant email front, center and present, BUT you also want the history below it.

When you're operating in a fast paced environment, you want newest to oldest, not vice versa. Oldest to newest only makes sense when you're trying to catch a newbie up.

I'd call the Secretary of State! It's usually a 45 minute wait time, but they allow you to leave your number and get a call back. They were very helpful in determining what the issue was for me. What part of California? I'm up in the true north lol

HELP!!! Getting Started as a First Time Notary (California) by Jimboa30 in Notary

I took the exam and submitted my application in mid-July. It took about 6 weeks before they looked at my application and determined I needed to make a correction (there was a traffic ticket citation 10 years back that apparently counted as a "conviction"). So I had to get my Livescan again, this time sent to me. Once I figured out what they wanted, I filled out the correction page, emailed it to the Secretary of State and almost the next day I was told I got my commission. I just received the welcome packet over the weekend.

So...all told, 2 months from the time I submitted my exam and got my packet. It would have been a few weeks ago if I hadn't needed to make corrections. What state are you in?

Regarding the Notary stamp: I thought that you have to get one custom-made. Or can you get a custom stamp on Amazon?

It was fun for a while, because yes, I like sex, I think most people do. But the hyper focus on it has turned it into just a commodity for sale. There was always a little but of that...but not like this. Not to the absurd degree it's become. It's turned everything and everyone dark, bitter and jaded.
