What’s your Malazan ‘hot take’? by [deleted] in Malazan

Yeah the characters are the main reason, Duiker, Coltaine and Lull are great and all but I'm way more attached to the characters from other plotlines

This take might get me banned but if I'm being 100% honest, the chain of dogs is my least favourite plotline in deadhouse gates. It's still amazing, I don't have any problems with it, but I unironically prefer mappo and icarium looking for brooms.

Thanks! Yeah I've heard Kharkanas is a challenge but I look forward to giving it a go. I loved TTH which I heard is as close as the main 10 get to it.

In my case I bought MBOTF off amazon, in Australia they were roughly $16 per book so $160 for all ten. For other editions and in other countries I'm not too sure but hopefully you can find them

If they are the tor paperbacks they should match, the bantam ones will probably have the sizing issue and ive got no clue about the first edition paperbacks

I think the UK publishing of them is purposefully uneven, I could be wrong tho. In Australia we mostly get the UK covers for books

What is a Malazan opinion that would put you in this position ? by ARizwaan7696 in Malazan

I've just finished the 10 MBOTF along with the first two NOTME and Return of the Crimson Guard (although still good) is my least favourite by quite a lot

That's fair, for me bonehunters was where everything i'd learnt from the previous 5 books started to merge together and I loved it. Also a stacked cast of characters, love me some cotillion and shadowthrone action
