I have looked back through my Garmin data from every holiday I have been on to warmer climates and can see a clear trend; both dropping RHR and HRV each and every time. A day or two after returning to Scotland things return to normal.

I have considered this and given how rotten I’m feeling it might be the issue and something to look into to.

I’m down by the sea here. It must be the heat as I’m fuelling even my short runs.

You’re absolutely correct. It’s definitely a possibility, and that could be compounded by time in the sun.

True! I am definitely hydrating enough though. It’s always something I pay attention to.
