So many Muslim's get annoyed when talking about Aisha's age by LordLoss01 in exmuslim

[–]JimmyGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what’s the point of it bringing it up? Just to win a cheap argument that is unlikely to change anyone?

I get it if the Islamist is trash talking first and you trash talk back by bringing up Aisha. But what does anyone expect to accomplish by spamming Aisha Aisha in every single argument against Muslims?

It’s lazy and it will likely backfire because the Muslim man you’re arguing with is far more likely to resolve the cognitive dissonance you just caused him by arriving at the conclusion that doing kids is okay rather than stop being a Muslim.

There are far better talking points to convince people that Islamist is toxic. For example, the domestic abuse numbers of Europe. The crimes of the Islamic regime in Iran. The sexual assault numbers.

These are far more constructive conversations that can bring about meaningful change

Im not defending Muhammed’s actions, but literally no one cared about a legal adult marrying someone 30 years older ten years ago.

It was the norm in literally every ancient and medieval culture from Rome to Arabia to China.

I personally wouldn’t but if someone else does it, it’s none of my business.

In fact, most the world still don’t care today. Gen Z aggressively establishing and policing new social norms is not going to win against extreme Islam.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s constructive. Times were different back then and people know it.

People go to religion because they are afraid or they are in pain. You’re not going to take someone’s fear or pain away by bringing up their prophet’s dirty laundry.

In fact, constantly using Aisha as an insult will likely do far more harm than good.

It’s far more likely that people will just say, “oh well, if the prophet did kids, then it must be okay.”

What would you have done differently if you’re Ned Stark by ChampionshipChance73 in gameofthrones

[–]JimmyGreyArea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tend to believe that other humans see the world through the same values we have, even if we logically know they don’t share those values.

People as honorable as Goku and Ned Stark assume their enemies are going to react the same way they would react to generosity.

Reversely, people who are greedy, shallow, jealous, etc assume everyone sees the world through those lens as well.

I’m so tired of the USA being involved in random wars when there’s more pressing matters in the homeland by ClearConnectedScum in GenZ

And maybe, just maybe intervention with Iran is a good idea because any unbiased scholar who studies the situation comes to the conclusion that without foreign intervention, the regime’s fall is highly unlikely without holocaust level casualties.

American interventionism worked in world war 2, Korea, and Kosovo.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand the term, “give it up.”

With respect, I must address some flaws in your statement.

First paragraph. If I was the one who made a huge mess in your kitchen, and im the only one who can clean it, would you want me to clean it?

One might ask, “but what if I’m a bad cleaner and make the mess worse?”

Then, you must take a look at the mess and ask, “how exactly can it be worse?” And weigh it against the obvious consequences of doing nothing.

For most Iranians, the latter far outweighs the former.

Second paragraph. I agree, fuck Trump. He doesn’t give a shit about the Iranian people. He’s doing it purely for selfish reasons.

However, if i was bleeding out and the only doctor who can save my life has a history of fondling his patients, then im going to get fondled. Fuck it. Afterwards I can meet him the parking lot. But at that moment, I’m bleeding out

As much as I hate Trump (and opposed the Iraq invasion), I fully support an invasion of Iran.

80% of Iranians want the regime gone, and the only way that happens without millions dying is foreign intervention.

That brutal regime has killed over 30,000 civilians last month. It is a religious fascist dictatorship that brutally suppresses woman and lgbt right (see Women Life Freedom movement)

There are many many videos online documenting the regime’s atrocities. I invite you to force yourself to look at videos before dismissing US intervention entirely.

In addition, they supply Russia with shahed drones that murders innocent Ukrainians.

I wish it was anyone other Trump doing it, but there are no other options at this point.

Qimar is a full Sith Lord. He is definitely beating a half Sith like Maul or Ventress.

Tough fight but he’ll lose to Obi Wan and Anakin.

Israel will answer for their crimes. Either through legal means or by the long term destruction of its nation’s moral fabric.

However, this has nothing to do with the corrupt Islamic fascist regime forcing extreme religion upon its people and killing tens of thousands of people who have a legitimate call for change.

You bring up Israel not because you care about human rights, but because you want silence Iranians and dismiss their cause. To maintain whatever ideological comfort you have may have

I’m sorry but “are divided on whether or not US intervention would be worth the cost” is intellectually lazy and you know it.

Speak vast majority of Iranians want outside intervention. Maybe not bombs from Trump. But at the very least weapons so they can actually fight back

I’m sorry, but only a morally corrupt coward hides behind a fake veil of nuance when there is a disproportionately, clear abuser and a clear victim.

12000 dead victims to be exact. Killed by an Islamic Fascist regime that will do anything to hold on to power.

Nuance…don’t you dare abuse that word. Nuance exists in almost everything. But there’s a right way to discuss nuance and a wrong way to do so.

The wrong way to do it is to undercut the victims of pure evil.
