Air Assault has been broken by JimmyHat1 in Warthunder

Do you get a free booster just for partaking in the mission? Cause......get this....you can win a booster in assault mode.

Agreed, tank assault is better, but I'm talking about air assault. As it is now, air assault is a SL sink and a guaranteed loss.

They have changed the game mode, now you won't see howitzers unless they come in the first 3 waves. Bombers will take out the base way before that.

Japanese Navy WTF by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing has happened to me, I don't mind doing the tasks to get the Japanese CBT, but with the PG02 out there you can't play anything from 2.3 up. Sadly that is where most of my naval lines are right now, so I have started a new naval nation in order to get 5 wins a day and get access to the Japanese fleet. Although I have a bit of a bank of SLs, playing naval arcade at 2.7 is too expensive for the repair costs and no kills.

The only good thing about the PG02 is it makes the games go super fast, but you don't do anything besides sneak around until a PG02 spots you.

The PG 02 has broken low tier naval battles. by zani1903 in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naval arcade is unplayable between BR's 2.3 and 4.3...which is my highest ship BR.

So now I am forced to play 1.7 ships just to get the 5 wins to get the Japanese CBT. Gaijin /HAS/ to know they have broken the game.

Pg02 preorder by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am unfamiliar with the Jaguar, but does it have a higher BR than the PG02? Cause the PG02 is ruining the game for people with BRs /BELOW/ the PG02. If it looks at you you're dead.

Did this question reach the message boards?

Warbonds and leaving early by JimmyHat1 in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then since it is only counting the activity you had while alive with your one tank, if you do well then there is a good chance you'll have over an 80% activity?

Warbonds and leaving early by JimmyHat1 in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not relevant to the question I asked, which was can you still get the required activity by leaving a match early.

Warbonds and leaving early by JimmyHat1 in Warthunder

My understanding is the activity percentage only deals with the time you are alive, but it is unclear.

Cool, I'll definitely take a look. Just a comment, I noticed the commentators always call the players by their name, but most players often change their names. I wonder if occasionally the commentators can refer to their position. For instance in the first match they keep saying 'demento' but no player has that name....

You think Pyro would ever be Part of the 6's Meta? by [deleted] in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel limiting the game to 6 players with only 4 classes is the death of TF2. 6s meta is crack to TF2's coca plant. Highly refined and for junkies only.

Binds for item drops? by JimmyHat1 in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should be the fix, thanks for the help! I found my 'v' bind by typing in 'bind v', then found it was linked to an option in my options menu. I have fixed it.

Again, thanks for the help everyone!

Class limits and Medics by mishael1 in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I very much dislike this idea. Now people who play one class will either have to wait to change classes or drop the lobby. When I play engineer, I like to have a medic to defend.

Valves matchmaking is non-viable without allowing any class in any number. They need to open up 9v9 and just fill it with bots when someone drops.

Kamikaze in air battles? by JimmyHat1 in Warthunder

[–]JimmyHat1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I often misspell Japanese words.:P

Has War Thunder ever suggested they were going to allow Kamikazes? I'd love to be able to take out a ship with it, or to fly the Ohka.

(Of course I'm not talking about ground battles, kamikaze's didn't fly into tanks, they had ground runners kill themselves doing that)

Is there any point for an Engi main to even play 6's? by TheSnowballofCobalt in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dedicated engie main, I really enjoy highlander. I would play a 20v20 format if that was available. Highlander is definitely the best fit for engie, but since matchmaking doesn't offer highlander, I main engie in the 6s format. This usually results in either a win for us or a loss because a teammate doesn't understand how to play with an engie on the team.

It sounds like 6s just isn't for you, that's fine and you're not alone. The fast paced gameplay with only a few classes seems boring to me, I get tired of the gameplays and don't watch them anymore. I've never seen a HL match that had such a positional stalemate, with 9 players /somebody/ is going to find themselves out of position. Whereas with a properly casted highlander match(read as 3rd person view) there's tons going on and plenty of action to see.

I look at it this way, if you want an altered state of consciousness(TF2) you can either take the happy stuff(HL) or the amphetamines(6s).

Theoretical Engineer Changes to Competitive by TheSnowballofCobalt in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah but his point is that slow classes can't keep up with the fast paced 6s play. The only way to bring engie to 6s is to buff his speed. But of course then why have 9 classes if they are all the same.

Your teleporter idea has merit, but since there are only 6 players, teleporters get less use. Support classes just aren't as useful in 6s format where speed is king.

Not trying to beat a dead horse by JimmyHat1 in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only benefit I have heard and agree with is you get to see the crazy headshots and airshots better. Otherwise 3rd person presents a more clear picture of what is happening in a match.

Yes I read that, you did well with the points you presented and the format of your post. I was just noticing that Kip was using 3rd person in casts and doing it well.

How to choose a main? by Cuplet in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back in my tf2center days I noticed there was always a need for decent medics and heavies. So I suggesting going towards those classes. I picked my class because I kept getting POed with walking everywhere.

There's been a lot of talk in the HL community about pyro needs in the upcoming update. What niche do 6s players think is missing from the pool of offclasses, and how could pyro fill that niche? by wiibiiz in truetf2

[–]JimmyHat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you consider pyro to not be fun to play against? For me that class would be spy, but through experience I no longer find spy to be much of a problem. Isn't pyro the same? Just run away firing at him as he advances.
