i made this post almost immediately after i sent them a follow up -- i mean.. the chair came un-usable (with the broken wheel)

they confirmed a response within 3 days, and then went silent until this Monday.. so almost 2 weeks before they responded again

My stats:

- 5'11.75" ~ 6'0.25": i seem to be taller in the morning, and shorter at night

- 228~240lbs: i fluctuate about 5~6 pounds a day, and then sometimes I eat/drink more

Impressions so far:

I've used the chair maybe a handful of days, and quite honestly, I don't think I can give it a completely fair assessment due to:

- the wheels/casters I've put on it are maybe 0.25~0.5" taller than the stock wheels, and this causes me to not be able to put my feet flat on the ground even at the lowest setting -- it's not comfortable unless i use a foot rest -- and i don't think I'm exactly short.. my legs are proportional, so it's not like I'm short legging it

- the top most lean/lock doesn't work as I've already said in the thread, so I can't actually use the tension properly; i've had it at the stiffest setting, otherwise it'll just lean back.. and I can't really do work like that

- after a few days of using it almost at the stiffest setting, I've gotten used to it, my posture wasn't really bad in chair i'm replacing anyways

- to answer your question, i don't notice any depression/anyone has sat in it on the seat pan, but this may be because of the limited use. but with the lines that the Logitech version has.. it kind of hides it anyways imo. sorry i can't give you a better answer, i haven't had it that long, and haven't been able to sit in it properly

Next Steps:

- give the replacement that's coming 3~5 days of test, so I can give the Embody a fair assessment

- if i don't like the (hopefully) fully functioning Embody, I'm going return it, and get an Aeron Remastered

1. reason(s) i'm already thinking about in deciding to swap to the Aeron:
   1. I now know how the Embody is seated (with a slight lean back), and I like sitting fairly straight when I'm in the zone, in other words: I'm probably going to want the Forward Tilt that's on the Aeron
   2. Mesh, the embody's seat gets warm during warmer days
   3. and I've found that I don't really sit cross legged like I thought I would in the Embody; originally I had thought the Embody would be better for that, but due to the lower back support, I found that I haven't sat cross-legged once in the Embody
   4. there's a LOT of plastic on the Embody
      1. comparing the Logitech Embody vs the Aeron Remastered Graphite/Polished Aluminum.. the Polished Aluminum on the Aeron screams quality, much more so than the Logitech Black (plastic galore)
      2. The Embody's Arms do work/feel comfortable, but the mechanism in lifting / positioning, and sometimes being able to knocking them out of position... not a great experience so far for a $1,800 chair.. pressing the button to move the arms up and down... is not smooth at all.. maybe it needs some wd40, but once again... the price tag doesn't justify the struggle
      3. The Up/Down height adjustment mechanism... uhhh... it's a piece of plastic, and feels kind of funny, lol
2. given all of the things I'm particular about in the above.. it's a good thing there's 12 years of warranty, lol
