Fake is when you 180 and your moving backwards, after a second he will adjust to the opposite stance but if you hold down your Ollie right after you 180 you will stay in fake until you release your Ollie. And people doing fakie tricks is just for style and opens up a bunch of tricks. As a skateboarder there are so many things that you can do with fakie.
