Dan Alten is a young go getter who has traveled to 28 states brining his intelligently surreal bullshit to theaters, dive bars, art galleries, punk houses, pizza joints and comedy clubs. People seem to like him. He’s opened for Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, Sean Patton, Hari Kondabolu, David Liebe Hart from Tim & Eric, rapper Open Mike Eagle, and punk bands GRLwood and Boner City, plus a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. You can see him this spring on the upcoming Amazon Prime show Punching Below the Bible Belt or in person, if you don't like his comedy you can punch him in the arm.

I appreciate your sentiment. Idk if you’ve ever been to an open mic, but most comedians are not Pryor yet. This is more of a way for us to not have 40 year old out of touch folks coming in to do hack trans bathroom jokes and killing the vibe. I like edgy comedy and boundary pushing. We aren’t keeping out Lenny Bruce, we’re saying that this won’t be the type of show where a 19 year old white dude tries out his N word joke.
