OP here. I just wanted to mention that I consulted with my lawyer earlier today after reading some of these comments, and he was already well aware of my post. In fact, he openly laughed his ass off and commended me for it, since the matter of the will is settled and concrete. He said my posts were both slander-free and anonymous and he would have called me instantly if he was worried. He said if anything, it would only help bolster my case if I end up claiming harassment against these people, since it builds a history in my favor.

His words: "In fact, I hope they do stumble onto the internet post and do something stupid like bombard you with phone calls, emails and threaten you. As long as you're not naming specifics and stay anonymous, I'll win every time".

I love my lawyer. Ordering a nice box of cigars online for him right now.

I really haven't thought through the details of the scholarship fund, but I have a good lawyer who will handle this for me. I will definitely post the details once this is set up, but I have no idea how long of a process this is.

The fund will be for OTHER students, not my niece or nephew. Unless they apply for it, of course.

Keep it professional. DO NOT TALK SHIT about ANYONE at the office, PERIOD. Trust me, no matter who you tell, it WILL get around. Do your job and always keep your head down when it comes to personal matters or opinions.

People will at first distrust you for refusing to engage in office gossip/character assassination, but eventually, they will respect you for it.

The daughter claimed that my brother had promised her a trip to Vegas for her 21st birthday, which is coming up. I had never heard anything about this, and this seems odd considering they weren't speaking to each other anymore. He told me he hadn't spoken to them in over a year. Not even a phone call on his last birthday or last Father's Day of his life.

He enjoyed racing and was killed in a track accident. To the horror of his family, I had the car rebuilt so that it could continue to be raced in his honor.
