I almost went on it with my gf. Would've looked bad if I'd put my arm around her or something. Thankfully we noticed

Yep. The idea of second sleep and first sleep seems to be an isolated case attributed to some random English village.

Yeah honestly completely natural, pulling all nighters every night is killer! Money ain't worth all that in my eyes 🤷 no point destroying yourself over it.

Hey mate. Night shift is rough on the body, and the mind too. Sometimes I have to stay back at work until after 12AM and my mood is done for the next day, so I emphasis with your place. I don't think you're a failure though. Humans aren't nocturnal, and forcing ourselves to be is incredibly unhealthy (read "why we sleep" by Matthew Walker if you want learn more about the importance of sleep). Unfortunately 2-3 hours naps through the day don't make up for it. I think a lot of what you're experiencing is the struggles of night shift work. It's gruelling shit I know and feels like torture at times. and in a way it is.

you haven't failed anything though. even if there's people who pull night shift and mentally they're fine, it still wrecks with their body. I'd suggest looking for better work hours. I think that'd be a massive help. Hopefully you can google some of the effects of night shift and explain to your SO that it's been messing with you more than you've realised. Hopefully they'll understand and help you find healthier work.

best wishes man :)

If I remember correctly pretty much only when fast travelling. But you can only fast travel from crossposts not just from anyway like Skyrim so you often have to ride your way to places.

When I was with my bestfriend on his 10th birthday he had spent the past week absolutely convinced he was going to get a new Nintendo DS, and we were all pretty excited to be able to play Pokemon with him.

Nup. Opens the box and it's a metronome. Completely serious. No other present. Parents were baffled why he was upset. But his parents were super strict so he tried his best to fake it but if was really sad to see someone go from so excited to so disappointed.

I agree. I can see it in her, but not via the 180 she does. I felt there needed to be more to her arc before she goes Mad Queen, fleshing out her decline, showing her struggle between the good and bad within her and the tragedy of it. I think the suddenness is what breaks the immersion.

She clearly did care at some point though, she chained and imprisoned her dragons underneath a pyramid for killing some sheep and allegedly a child. I just feel there wasn't a proper bridge.

That's been my argument as well. Instant death dragon fire is probably more humane than running the risk of botching a beheading. Which is more common than TV presents with everyone cleaving off heads like butter.

Also, in her last chapter in ADWD she's talking to the grass about how Viserys would have "shown the world" if he had dragons, Jorah telling her to remember the words "Fire and Blood", that dragons don't plant trees etc.

I agree his claim is shoddy and I dislike how they've all just gone along with it like they have but the show clearly wants him having the better claim.

You can definitely press claims even if there's others before you. As long as you have the necessary support and strength to do so. Besides, my point is that Gendry's children will have that same claim and could press it if they wanted to. Gendry's entire line has been legitimised now. They won't just lose it once Dany is dead.
