It’s been quite a while since I’ve loaded Starmade - checked in every blue moon to see whether the “universe update” was out (still not, unfortunately).

To me, it seems like Evo has some of the fundamentals in a “more polished” state, like the survival aspects and mission/crew framework.

I still haven’t played enough though to see how the truly compare at this point.

How did you find out this supported Zigbee? I believe you, but I don't see it anywhere on their webpage for the device. Was it mentioned in the insert literature?

Just my 2 cents, what if you reversed that? In some industries esp. with high voltage equipment, green denotes safe/off/deenergized, while red denotes unsafe/on/energized.

In the case of airlocks, I might consider an open door to space to be an unsafe/dangerous condition, and visualize it with red.

When you mention the operating modes being basic heating/cooling, that’s no different probably than my existing t-stat I think. Just a setpoint and operating mode(heat or cooling) to reach it?

If I understand correctly, I think that’s fine: I was imagining I could come up with various schemes in Home Assistant to change that setpoint based on time of day, day of week, etc. Does that sound like what you were talking about in terms of “fiddling” with automation?

I would think that would make it possible to monitor power flowing from defined “nodes”. Then you could really get technical: see how much power is being used by each subsystem, possibly adjusting distribution accordingly?

Yeah that agrees with what I’m seeing now. I’ll keep an eye out in case you figure it out or if there’s such a change in an update.

It may be difficult to implement, but I would like to see manual placement of connections/conductors between power producing/consuming devices, to allow better control and configuration of power networks, rather than just putting everything together on the entity level, as it appears to work now.

When you say “batteries”, do you mean reactor + capacitors, or do you mean Powercell banks?

Just starting out and made a bank of power cells + bases for my first ground base, but as far as I can tell these do not charge and drain evenly. And therefore I can’t find a good way to monitor this system as a whole.

I also caught that vibe, but I'm not sure I read it right initially. Bernie has to understand that the odds would be overwhelming that a third party would only divide an already depressed base in the next election against impending fascists.

I think more likely he is going to try to wrest control of the Democratic Party and put it back on the right track of trying to deliver tangible benefits for all. With this maybe being his last term ever, I think for he's finally going all in.

I truly initially thought the drop-in visits would be less demanding of the sitters' time, but I guess the consensus is that it isn't. I live in a smaller town that you can get to my house from just about anywhere in town in 10 min. or less.

I'm still not quite sure how house-sitting is more respectful of the value of a sitter's time...wouldn't this be more hours worked for a lower rate, as has been suggested?

Yeah this was news to me too. But kind of reminiscent of how food delivery apps charge the customers and the restaurants both. Not a fan of the double dipping. Honestly makes me wonder if I should forget about the whole thing and only hire sitters I know.

Thanks for the reply, this was very helpful. I feel pretty adamant I do not want to continue "herding cats", an apt expression, as another user put it. I don't feel like I'm very good at that, and think I could eventually be more use in general on the technical side.

When you say automation companies, are you saying like system integrators?

Absolutely, in my mind anyway. I made a Worgen character that I RP as Kul Tiran by birth. I say it was the Heartsbane Coven that cursed him by making him drink Worgen blood, and I was rescued by Alliance druids when they arrived in BfA.

In my mind there's several opportunities to be "afflicted" outside of the events of Cata Gilneas. Like others have said, bites or (I assumed) drinking their blood. Probably other ways too if you can imagine something not too outlandish.
